MRE CashBook is a secure, offline-first ledger for your personal money and your small business. No account is needed, there are no ads, and your records stay on your device unless you choose to back them up. 3 BOOK TYPES • Standard: cash in, cash out, and a balance that updates as you type. • Debts: who owes you and who you owe, tracked per contact. • Products: stock, packaging units, and prices that carry straight into a sale. ENTRIES THAT FIT HOW YOU WORK • Build the fields each book actually needs: text, numbers, dates, contacts, product lines, files. • The amount field has a calculator with brackets. Every calculation you finish is kept in a list you can label, reuse, and drop into the entry note. • Record a voice note straight into an entry and play it back with a waveform. • Photos, PDFs and videos attach to an entry and show a real thumbnail. • Copy an entry, or a whole selection, into another book. Fields and product lines are matched at the destination, and you decide whether the payment history travels with it. • Tick several entries and a bar keeps the running in, out and net. DEBTS, PAYMENTS AND SETTLEMENT • Settle a contact's balance across several entries in one go, with a summary of which entries the money covers before you confirm. • Paid more than the entry needed? Send the surplus to another entry, or record it as a refund. • Filter by settled, partly paid or unpaid. • Link an entry to a contact and send that contact an update. RECURRING ENTRIES Set an entry to repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. The app posts it on time and tells you. One screen in Settings lists every schedule with its next date, so nothing runs that you cannot find, pause or cancel. REPORTS AND SHARING • PDF reports and receipts with full Arabic reshaping and BIDI support. Pick the columns, and see how many entries the report covers before you export it. • Share a selection as a PDF table, or as a totals card image with the details sent alongside as text. • Pick products from a book and share them as text, an image, or a PDF, with the fields you choose. The app remembers your choice. THE AI ASSISTANT, IF YOU WANT IT • Ask about your books in plain language, typed or spoken. • Photograph a receipt, or several in one message, and let it become entries. • Add your own API key and the assistant runs on your own account with no daily cap. Any standard-compatible endpoint works. FINDING THINGS • Search amounts, notes, and the values inside your custom fields. • Filters keep their search box pinned, which matters on a field with hundreds of values. • A dashboard with a donut chart you can tap into, a KPI grid, and insight cards that open the detail behind them. PRIVACY AND BACKUP • Face ID / Touch ID lock, and a privacy toggle that hides every balance at a glance. • Encrypted local backups, per-book backup, and optional sync to your own Google Drive. • Deleted items wait in the trash instead of disappearing. • Every book and entry keeps an activity log: what changed, when, and what it changed from. DETAILS THAT MATTER • iPhone and iPad, with a side rail on iPad and swipe between tabs. • 9 languages, light and dark, and right-to-left throughout. • Choose a notification tone, and switch off the short in-app sounds if you would rather work in silence. • Guided walkthroughs on the screens where they help. • If notifications are off, a banner on the dashboard points you to system settings and tells you exactly what is blocked. ABOUT THE AI ASSISTANT The AI Assistant is optional. When you use it, only the text, image or audio you send in that request is transmitted to the AI provider so it can reply. Your ledger is not uploaded. MRE CashBook is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a bank, a financial institution, or a financial advisory service. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 1.5.2 — 2026-08-28 Share products, your way Pick products from a book and share them with the fields you choose: as text, an image, or a PDF table. Choose once, and the app remembers it next time. Notifications off? Now you'll know exactly why A banner on the dashboard appears when notifications are off, and takes you to system settings in one tap. It now tells the difference between the notification permission itself being off, and just one channel, like recurring entries, being blocked on its own. Clearer numbers when you share Sharing entries from a Debts or Products book now shows what's billed, what's paid, and the net, and states in words who owes whom, instead of a signed number that's confusing to anyone outside the app. The AI assistant Your messages can run longer now, and the app accounts for the size of any photo you attach within the limit. If your message would go over, it tells you before you send, not after your reply gets refused. Auto backup Your next backup time is now calculated from the last one that actually completed, not an approximate schedule, so the number you see in Settings is accurate. Smaller details A new Debts book now tells you upfront it's for personal record-keeping only, not a loan or a money transfer. Offline messages during AI chat or cloud sync are clearer about actually being offline. Reminder and notification sounds got a refresh. ### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-21 COPY AN ENTRY INTO ANOTHER BOOK Copy a single entry, or a whole selection, from one book into another. Custom fields and product lines are matched in the destination book, and recreated there when they are missing, so the copy still means what the original meant. You choose whether the payment history and its receipt photos come along. SELECT, TOTAL, SHARE Ticking entries now brings up a bar with the running in, out and net of everything selected, along with select-all and clear. From there the selection can leave the app two ways: as a PDF table where you pick the columns, or as a totals card image with the entry details sent alongside as text. Before a PDF is built you are told how many entries it will cover, so a 900-row report is never a surprise. THE CALCULATOR KEEPS A LIST The calculator in the amount field now remembers. Every calculation you finish joins a list you can scroll: tap a line to reuse its result, or label it "shipping", "deposit", whatever it was. When you leave, the list is written into the entry note, so the number in the amount field can still be explained months later. Brackets work, and so does pasting a figure in. WHEN A RESULT GOES BELOW ZERO If a calculation lands on a negative number, the app asks what you meant instead of guessing. Turn the minus into the direction of the entry, or drop it and leave the entry as it is. WHEN A PAYMENT IS TOO BIG Paying more than an entry needs no longer leaves an awkward remainder. Point the surplus at another entry for the same contact, or record it as a refund. THE ASSISTANT Several photos can go in one message now. A reply can be stopped while it is still being written, and a fresh chat started when a thread has run its course. Leave the screen and a notification tells you the answer is ready. The messages about limits say something useful too, so you know whether to shorten the question or start over. SOUNDS AND REMINDERS Pick the tone your notifications use, or stay on the system one. The short sounds when something is saved, sent or deleted can be switched off in Settings. Reminders for recurring entries now have their own switch, separate from the rest. SMALLER THINGS The search box inside a filter stays put while the values scroll under it. Walking away from a half-written entry asks first. Contact search is quicker when you link an entry, and imported phone numbers get checked. The activity log shows what a value changed from, not only that it changed.
