### 4/5 — Good start

I love this app. I am hoping to use it as a remote control for the Make Controller, but the accelerometer support is really slow. It could also use more documentation. When I wrote this review the app had been out for only a couple weeks so far. Even at this rough early state though it is better than the other OSC remote controllers out there. I would pay money for this, but even better - it's free!

### 4/5 — Great start -

I've been following this app for awhile. Now I don't have to think about spending money on a lemur =) A few problems for me on windows, bonjour doesn't really work for zero network config - but that's ok - I just point mrmr at the IP address and I can use it in Max no problem. Please get us the documentation on interface building. I'm trying to write banks by hand ( no mac here so can't use the bank builder app) oh and a hint for the guy trying to figure out how to make four banks use |*| to separate your banks in hand coded banks.

My wish list:

* two way control - I'd like also receive messages from my computer as well - turning buttons on and off and such.

* A way to upload buttons (for us non-jailbroken)

* More than one color type for buttons.

* Dials, switches, and numerical readouts of values.

* Accelerometer data - I really don't need it unless I ask for it - having it run all the time is kinda annoying.

### 1/5 — Not iPhone X friendly

*2019-03-04, version 3.1*

The resolution of the app does not allow for bank button presses at screen bottom not access to home or setup on iPhone X

### 1/5 — Windows

*2010-12-29, version 2.22*

### 2/5 — erm, where are these guys

*2009-06-11, version 0*

ok, soo it seemed nice and its free, but i discovered i need to turn the accelerometer off to use my app, so i tried to find the forum but nothing there, so i tried to create a topic but im not a member so i tried to register but the website did nothing. its getting to be a pain now, can someone please answer this, how do i turn of the accelermoeter from sending osc data and where is the guide for writing you own interfaces

### 3/5 — Probably really cool

*2010-04-25, version 0*

The problem is that the documentation is terrible so a regular computer music person can't use it b/c there is no explanation on setup. I give 5 stars b/c the other ones are EXPENSIVE and no better. I just can't make it work.

### 4/5 — Bugs

*2013-07-10, version 2.6*

It's an amazing idea for an app but it has many bugs

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent with Pure Data

*2016-07-07, version 2.6*

This is a very interesting app allowing easy and effective OSC links with pd patches. It is easy to build a remote UI to control video or audio with buttons, sliders, text ... the web element has great potential. I have found it best to text edit layouts since the gui editor has problems.
Shame it is not currently supported but it works well. Worth exploring.

### 5/5 — Great, works.

*2012-05-20, version 2.3*

I am going about this a bit differently. I was looking for a free OSC app and then used coded up a socket interface on my laptop (python) to listen for the app. Found the OSC lines coming in, added a decoder, and now have a super basic iPhone-to-Mac interface to tinker with for free.

### 5/5 — Great

*2011-05-08, version 2.3*

Great iPad app/project. Going to use this with max/msp for something.

### 5/5 — Great idea

*2009-06-21, version 0*

Needs refining and as an open source project that's up to us as much as them..perfect launching place for developing audio apps

### 5/5 — Great work

*2009-05-20, version 0*

Combined with Ableton live this is awesome. Like having a jazzmutant in your pocket!

### 5/5 — Awesome job!

*2008-11-04, version 0*

This is the hotness!

### 5/5 — Nice!

*2008-10-24, version 0*

Been following this for a while. Amazing application. I have already created an interface for Ableton Live. I wish there was an easy way to add various colored buttons and perhaps an option of vertical OR horizontal sliders. Regardless this application is great, I just hope they keep adding features and widgets (rotary dials hint hint)

***There is no documentation as to how to add your own patch that uses all 4 banks. I have been unable to do this no matter what I try.

### 5/5 — Great!!

*2008-10-22, version 0*

This app is awesome. I love that it can be used as a trackpad, and that it is free. I highly suggest buying this app.

### 4/5 — Worked flawlessly on OS 2. Not so much on 3.

*2009-06-22, version 0*

Just booted up Grand VJ for a performance after dl'ing OS 3. The trigger response is now less tha desirable. Quite glitchy. OS 2 worked with zero latency issues and was looking quite promising. Any chance of an update?
