It’s great for being able to monitor our church property, especially during off-hours. The most recent update is now causing the app to go to a black screen. You have to swipe on your iPhone/iPad as if switching to another app, then choose Mr.Patrol (still opened) to bring to the front. This happens so quickly it makes it ineffective to use the app for viewing or playback. I’ve updated to the latest iOS and still the same issue (thinking that would help). Would love to see resolved quickly. More info available if needed to troubleshoot. I have had this system for several years. I called the installation company and they said it is a problem with Mr Patrol app update. About a week ago, the problem began. When you are watching live video on an iPhone, the screen disappears after about seven seconds. The app doesn’t close. Instead, you have to swipe it back to be on your screen again and start over with the live video. In addition, you can no longer save a photo to the Mr.Patrol app itself, although you can continue to save videos to the Mr.Patrol app. These problems began about a week ago. I assume it’s somehow related to the update that occurred a week ago.. I can not watch more than 5 seconds of footage without the thing “reconnecting” and resetting all cameras to 0 feed while the clock keeps running so it is literally impossible to closely inspect a couple of seconds. And the recording function does not work for the same reason, it is a frustrating mess. Basically the whole system is useless. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works in place of Magic Viewer! *2022-03-19, version 3.0.33* I have come here to tell people that the Mr Patrol app works in place of the Magic Viewer security app. My old tablet broke so I had to buy a new one and I bought the 10.5 inch tablet, unfortunately Magic Viewer was not compatible with my tablet. I was in such distress, as we all know how important our security cameras are for us. I tried several different security apps to find a replacement for Magic Viewer and found Mr Patrol which has the exact same interface so I thought it would work. After a few failed attempts to connect my security camera, BAM! It connected! It suddenly worked! I had to add the camera manually though, the QR code was not recognized. Software is much better and easier to use with PTZ functions. I’m now rating this app 5 Stars. Thank You for the update. It’s much easier to move and to navigate including we can now use PreSets on PTZ. We have several PTZ cameras and prior version worked great in controlling movement. However new version is too sensitive and have lost the preset function!!! Please fix!!
