## What is mrqb?

mrqb — world events as they happen.

A "marqab" is a watchtower. For centuries one stood at the edge of a town or on a caravan road, and at dawn the watchman climbed it to read the horizon — to see who was coming while they were still far off, and to warn the people before the danger arrived. This app is that watchtower, made digital.

Colour-coded markers update in near real time across the globe: conflict, security, natural disasters, aviation, earthquakes, economy.

News agencies, government bodies, sensor networks and open sources. Every story carries its source and a link to the original.

■ Official statements, by country
Taken from the bodies themselves rather than from reports about them — foreign and interior ministries, public prosecutors, and security services.

■ Full Arabic and English
Every headline translated, an interface that works in both directions, and one tap to switch. Nine interface languages.

■ Your own boards
Choose countries, categories and a time window, and get a board that follows only what matters to you — several countries on one board.

■ Alerts
Told when something you follow happens, at the severity you set.

■ Home screen widgets
The latest events without opening the app, in the app's own language.

■ AI that runs on our own servers
Classifies events, places them on the map, removes duplicates and translates headlines.

Subscription (optional)
The map, the feed, boards and the library work without an account, and stories appear six hours after they are detected. A subscription gives you news the moment it lands, alerts, a ninety-day archive and data export. A story someone shares with you opens in full, subscription or not.
Seven days free for anyone who has not subscribed before, then $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year. The trial converts automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. It renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and is managed or cancelled in Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions.
