The storyline was trite and unoriginal: evildoer kidnaps a child to gain eternal health/youth/life. None of the HO scenes was innovative, and most of the puzzles/games were of the boring rotational genre. Give us mazes and labyrinths and painting and elixirs and codes; mix it up a bit! The basic gameplay was entertaining, as Elephant provides a plethora of tasks at each location. The graphics were faded and lacked visual acuity. I did not find the game glitchy or buggy; it ran fine but I didn’t like the inventory bar because I kept accidentally closing it. After playing series such as Detectives United, Paranormal Files and Grim Tales, this game just didn’t stimulate me. In addition, it was extremely short. Elephant, for the $7 price tag, your games need to be over a gig in size! The players are getting tired of extremely brief gameplay for this price and eventually they won’t buy them, not when Domini is giving us blockbuster games that are well over a gig in size for the same price, and a discount with the subscription model. My rating will stand at 3 stars for average! For those who don’t know, Domini updated their game and is getting good reviews, so you can now play. Happy gaming! ### 3/5 — Sloppy, so why should I care *2019-09-11* The pix presented on this page for the game aren’t even from the game. The game itself is buggy. The winch disappeared before I could pull the grate out ( I put the crank where it used to be and it magically showed up again). After the fight, when I tapped right away I got a sound effect from the fight and the game locked up, I didn’t pick up the bag before breaking the car window and it ( the bag ) disappeared ( it returned when I opened the door). And near the end of the bonus game, the voices I had turned off nevertheless came on, and I was subjected to two really awful bits of emoting. It has some virtues, but the devs really don’t seem to care much about its quality, so why should I buy their games, ever? Ugh! ### 3/5 — Holmes *2019-09-09, version 1.0* Decent game but very short for the price ### 3/5 — Could have been better *2019-09-08* The story didn’t feel cohesive, the first and second half felt like 2 different plots. And Sherlock game is shorter than “Shrine” (which I very much enjoyed...but, wished it was longer). First board, thankfully. Used the rake to get a box. The box is still in the roses, but the rake is gone. Kind of need the box to continue ### 1/5 — I was overcharged *2024-03-18, version 1.0.9* I was loving the game and did the trial it then said the game was $10 to buy and I thought why not but when I bought it I was charged $20 instead..? I’m confused as to why and am feeling very disappointed. Loving the game but it feels wrong to be told one price and for more money to come out. Now I’m at a point where I’ve opened a chest and it’s wants me to get something out of it, but there’s nothing there. I’ve clicked on everything!! I’ve closed and reopened the game several times. Unfortunately played the sequel first without realising this came first but thoroughly enjoyed it. The puzzles aren't timed which means you can enjoy at your own pace ### 5/5 — Having trouble! Help! *2020-10-15* This is my second time playing this game in particular (Definitely one of my favorites). Now, I don’t remember having this problem the first time around, although I could be wrong. When I get to the “Kitchen” scene at the end of Chapter 2, I’m unable to get the pair of rusty scissors out of the wooden chest in the dusty room filled with spider webs. I’m not too sure what to do, because it’s the only objective left for me in the scene, so I can’t move forward. It doesn’t look as though anyone else has had this problem so I thought it could just be my I-pad acting out, but I re-booted the game, and even went as far as to delete and re-download the app to no avail. I’m still stuck in the same spot again. Any tips to help me out so that I can move forward and continue with the game? Thank you for your time. Collectibles,morphing, and lots of hogs. Absolutely no technical issues for me. There were 3 extra objects to search for throughout the game, which has become a must for me...collectible figurines, lots of morphing objects & puzzle pieces. The artwork was absolutely beautiful! I loved to sit and just admire it. New series and I’m a fan of the Baskerville stories so I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tons to do. Not boring at all as some said. My only issue is there are just to many ho scenes and puzzles and not enough adventure anymore. I just finished playing some of your much older games and they were definitely better with more to do besides a ho scene every 10 moves. Idk, maybe most players like that. I prefer more adventure and finding things along the way. I hope folks give this game a chance as it’s worth your time and money!
