### 3/5 — Pretty good but missing cards

*2021-08-24, version 4.0.1*

Let’s get the pros out of the way.

First off I want to mention the great filters you can have when searching for cards. You can get down to the exact printing that you’re looking for and that is pretty amazing. This has a pretty wide database of cards. You can also put in your collection of cards to keep track of what you have and don’t have. Highly recommend upgrading to pro too to get access to the extra features. They give you more depth on the stats on the deck that you simulate. Not to mention that you get access to unlimited decks to create, the win rate of your deck, mana curve, and the ability to reset the stats of your deck. Speaking of simulation, there’s also ways to test out the mulligan that you would get, turn order, cards that you play, etc. this is a good way of testing what your deck needs and what it can do without to see what you can put in it to upgrade your deck.

Now for the cons.

I noticed that this data base does not have any cards from the kaldheim commander pre-constructed sets but it has every other card in the data base even from other pre-constructed decks that have come before and after kaldheim specifically. I know it’s a small pool of cards that are missing but that is enough to bump down the score a star. Another big con is there’s no way of labeling or formatting a deck to it’s respective format. For example, I tried to make a commander deck using this app and I found there was no way of utilizing the command zone at all for your chosen commander. To make due with what I got I put it in the side board. It may be one of the many formats for magic the gathering to make decks for but this also happens to be the most popular way to play magic currently at the time of writing this review for this app. It’s a shame too because this is also enough to bring it down another star.

Despite my pros and cons of this review I still think this is a solid app to use for what it was made to do and it has a lot of potential to do more and become a fine addition to anyone’s app selection for those that want to optimize and test their decks.

### 4/5 — Incredible Deck Builder

*2021-04-19, version 4.0.1*

Extensive organization of cards, inclusion of all versions, even if promos don’t show art. Just wish there was a Command Zone just like a sideboard.

### 4/5 — M21 Images Not Loading

*2020-09-07, version 4.0.1*

I use it for all my deck building. Has every card I could want and is pretty quick to updating the newest cards. Even has a play testing system that I constantly use that’s super helpful for testing consistency. The only negative is that promo cards don’t get their images loaded. For some reason M21 had all their cards marked “promo” and none of their pictures are downloaded. This can be really annoying for me when playtesting the cards because I can’t tell what I’ve drawn and have to manually look at the cards individually for that set. Please fix this when you can. It was a problem last set and was hoping it would be fixed when Double Masters was released. It is still a problem. I thank you reading this and really love the app. Your hard work is obvious and appreciated. Thanks for everything.

### 4/5 — App is great for managing decks

*2020-08-12, version 4.0.1*

I think this app is really great and I use it al of the time. It’s one of the better ones I have used to keep track of all of my decks. The only problem I have had is recently. The updates have not worked for the past set or so, and doesn’t seem to do anything when I try and update to what is currently out. Maybe needs an update? Managing anything older than core 21 should work great

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2020-02-09, version 4.0.1*

Great for playing and making decks, I think that the access to TCGplayer and Cardmarket is great. One not drawback but just heads up is that some words are misspelled like your is spelled yout. Overall great app would recommend to any Magic: the Gathering player.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect...

*2020-01-11, version 4.0.1*

This is the best app I’ve found out there and has the easiest feature to use when adding cards to my collections but, it could be better. The filters for searching are fantastic but there’s no categorization features for the cards in your collection. I would like a feature that would let me easily copy cards from one collection to another. I don’t like how I can’t see the option to pick the promo card without opening up the card. A few cards won’t display a picture which is more annoying than it is inconvenient. The interface is kind of plain and boring too but I’m just being picky. Add and fix a few things and this app will deserve a perfect score.

### 3/5 — Bug problems, could be more intuitive

*2019-10-29, version 4.0.1*

On the whole, this app does what it’s supposed to. I don’t think 500 cards is a decent limit for even casual players like myself. The purchase price wasn’t much, however, so ultimately not too big a hassle.

I do have a few bugs/user interface mishaps to report. The card importing feature is pretty picky about what the list of cards looks like. For someone importing from another app (which I used to scan my cards, something this app doesn’t do), it can get pretty frustrating to have to go through my list deleting punctuation.

There’s a bug that makes it impossible to tap on the three bars that lead to the list when something else has been tapped on in the menu. This is ridiculously annoying, as I have to restart the app to get from my decks to my collection every time.

User interface-wise, it could be a lot friendlier. I don’t like having to go to open the card screen to add a card to my deck; some sort of “select, add all” feature would be useful. I also would love to be able to filter the cards I have by color, cost, type, etc. to make finding cards for a new deck easier.

All in all, useful, but probably not the best thing on the market.

### 4/5 — Very good app, has a little room to improve.

*2019-10-25, version 4.0.1*

Very good app, as it is very useful for MtG. User friendly, but could have some minor features to make searching for cards easier. Great App and will continue to use and support.

### 4/5 — The Best

*2019-09-25, version 4.0.1*

I have tested every single MTG deck builder app available for iPhone and this one is hands down the best. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of a few possible tweaks that could make it even better.

1. In the diagrams section, please add card probabilities for each card up to turn 10. Most likely starting hand.
2. In the deck menu, when I select a particular deck, please send me straight to the deck list. Not to another menu. Add those menus to the bottom area.
3. In the deck list section, add the ability to swipe left or right to add and/or remove cards.
4. In the deck menu, Please add deck sorting by legacy, standard, pauper, etc.

Overall a great MTG app. Thank you!

### 4/5 — The App Has Everything

*2019-05-05, version 4.0.1*

This app is an all around collection and deck building tool for Magic: the Gathering. Whatever format you play, this is awesome. Your can create multiple lists for your collections. You can build multiple decks with different formats. You can even create multiple orders to keep track of your want/buy lists. If you get the pro version, you can have the total TCG Player pricing snap shot of your entire collection, decks or even orders. Pro version also allows you to track your decks win percentages and mana curve.

The two things I believe that separates this app from the others (I’ve tried quite a few of them) #1 You can access the entire cards database completely offline. #2 When searching cards, there a lot if available filter like CMC, sub-type, mana colors etc.

The only reason I gave this a 4-star is because of the server ping issue. When there’s a new set, I have to wait for the app to ping/respond before it updates. Sometimes, the new set has been out for a few days before I even see the cards on the app.

But don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself and download it. Its free.

**Developer response:** Sorry for bug with ping, it will be fixed in next update.

### 4/5 — Update

*2019-05-05, version 4.0.1*

When do y’all add cards from new sets? War released on Friday and I was looking forward to throwing some decks together but still no War cards.

### 4/5 — Great app for inventory

*2019-01-23, version 4.0.1*

I love this app for keeping deck inventory. Really easy to use and seems user friendly. My only hope if that set/card updates are easy to manage. If so, would easily give 5 stars!

### 4/5 — Great Overall MTG app

*2019-01-12, version 4.0.1*

An MTG app that has almost everything!!! There is just a few things that can help the app. When searching for cards a good idea could be to filter out all other cards with the same name and only show one card. Add extra filter options like removing cards the were reprinted. For example “Lightning bolt” was printed lots of times. In the results have just the latest version of the card. Have an option for different art for the cards as well.

Another good idea would be to actually see the art when you are done filtering. Let me explain this. When you are done choosing your card options, you get your results. From there you have to click to see the card and the description. From there you have to click again to see a full page image. It may be my iPhone 6s but the image appears blurry when I enlarge it. Maybe have an enlarged card image once you click it.

The last thing is that I dislike how I have to keep clicking back to go the filter options and click again to see another card. Maybe add some swipe to go from one card to the next card. This may be helpful for newer players more than veterans.

Thank you for taking your time and reading this.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t stay open.

*2022-11-04, version 4.0.1*

This thing crashes every five minutes. I can look at about 4-5 cards and then it crashes. Sometimes it saves my decks and sometimes it doesn’t. Needs some major work. Could be a great app if the crashing problem is fixed.

### 1/5 — DO NOT USE The database not being updated

*2020-12-21, version 4.0.1*

DO NOT USE THIS APP Zendikar Rising is the latest set in the database. Pretty upset that right after I bought the pro upgrade they stopped supporting the database. If they do not update it soon I will be requesting a refund.

### 1/5 — Missing cards in the database

*2020-08-19, version 4.0.1*

Trying to add cards from standard and they don’t exist...Just paid $3.99 for pro and then find out the database isn’t up to date. Not happy about that at all. Will change review if fixed

### 1/5 — Not very functional

*2020-05-23, version 4.0.1*

Missing cards, can’t seem to get the app to do what it promises. Will use something else

### 1/5 — Collection management

*2017-10-16, version 2.0.1*

App allows you to create collection list name but not add anything to the list

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2017-10-05, version 2.0.1*

Keeps crashing on startup

### 2/5 — Difficulty Searching

*2019-06-23, version 4.0.1*

It can be hard to search for certain cards. The app doesn’t recognize symbols like + and / forcing you to sift through crap cards until you possibly find a card you are looking for.

### 2/5 — What happened?

*2018-08-29, version 4.0.0*

The app was great up until this morning. It has a massive database of I believe every magic card ever released on paper or online. You can make decklist and collection lists and even has card prices. Until today every once in a long while it would crash but I could just reopen the app and go about my business, but for some reason I opened it this morning and it tried to update before the app was even done loading and it crashed I haven’t been able to do anything with it since then.

**Developer response:** Hello, I apologise about this situation, update need to use legality search of cards, also big database update will be in v5.0.0 (I wan to migrate to new database with whole legalities, promo cards, tokens), can you please contact with me via twitter https://twitter.com/wolfdevelopclub or email support@wolfdevelopment.club we will try to sixths situation or give some free content

### 2/5 — Missing whole sets

*2017-11-05, version 3.0.0*

The app is missing half of standard. Was good but is now losing most of its value because of this.

It says my app has the latest version. It is missing ixalan and hour of devastation sets.

### 3/5 — Unclear

*2021-10-23, version 4.0.1*

You have to dig in the settings to download newer sets which is a bit annoying. Everything seems to be in order though.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2022-03-20, version 4.0.1*

I use this for all of my decks and deck ideas. Only problem is that all m21 cards do not show art.

### 5/5 — Best Mtg Deck builder app

*2020-07-13, version 4.0.1*

I love this deck builder, but when update for M21 ready ?

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-09-08, version 4.0.1*

This app is very good, the best I have seen for MTG. There is one feature that I would like to see in an update that I believe another app has, specifically, the ability to use the camera to scan the card to add it in. I have a huge selection of cards and this would greatly expedite my entry over typing.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2019-05-05, version 4.0.1*

10/10
Haven’t had any issues at all. Easy to use and many tools to make life easier. Just take the time to look through the app and I’m sure you’ll find a tool that’ll help you.

### 5/5 — AMAZING!!!!!!!!

*2019-03-29, version 4.0.1*

This app is amazing. I can test out my deck, see prices at different levels, and add to collections and create personalized decks that I want to build. I have never seen an MTG app like this!!!

### 5/5 — Very gut

*2019-01-28, version 4.0.1*

Man I love this app so much. It’s easy to use and very convenient. The only thing that I would change about it would be to add a feature that made sharing your decks easier, rather than just copying the deck list, which makes it difficult to move to other sites like mtg goldfish or tapped out. Overall great app tho

### 5/5 — Best MTG Organizer I’ve Seen

*2018-10-09, version 4.0.1*

Everything about this app is great. It’s got all the latest features you may want, an ENORMOUS card database, and an all included life counter. Even without update functionality, it is great. The only problem is, as stated above, the update. I tried everything in other reviews, but it won’t update. I don’t know if it’s the IOS update or something else, but the update won’t come up as an option. Can anyone help?

**Developer response:** Hello, please try to open Settings view of MTG Manager for several minutes (its server ping issue) then wait till message about update will appear.

Best regards, please let me know if you have problems with this issue or other via email: support@wolfdevelopment.club or twitter: https://twitter.com/wolfdevelopclub

### 5/5 — Great customer support

*2018-10-08, version 4.0.1*

They provided immediate customer support and ensured that I could use their great magic managing app with ease

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2018-08-22, version 3.3.1*

The only problem I’ve had is trying to update the database the latest I have is Rivals and I’m trying to make my Nicol Bolas the Ravanger Deck

### 5/5 — This app does everything I needed it to.

*2018-07-30, version 3.3.1*

For a free app, it is marvelous. The only thing I feel like it’s missing is a “standard” filter in the search filter area. This would make it much easier to search for standard legal cards, but you can already filter by set. So this wouldn’t be 100% necessary, just a nice quality of life change.
