User reviews

Clean design!

I have several mapping apps but this app just lets you get to recording ski tracks with minimal fuss and menu selections while having plenty of features to analyze the day après ski!

Frustrating first experience

Makes you jump through all these hoops before you even get to explore the app. I was expecting to be able to view the map and explore a bit but the guess I was misunderstanding the purpose of the application. Pretty useless unless you want to only track where you’ve been. Other apps have more useful options.

Response from developer

Sorry the app didn’t match what you were hoping for. Mtn Tracks is focused purely on recording your outings and giving you performance metrics on the way up, plus a detailed review when you’re back home. It's not so much a general map browser. As for those hoops, I feel that pain too. Apple insists on a permission parade before any app can touch location and healthkit data. It’s not the smoothest welcome, but it does make sure your privacy survives the trip. In the end, I think that bit of extra friction is worth it.
