## What is MU UNC?

يعتبر مركز أمراض الكلى والمسالك بجامعة المنصورة من أول وأكبر المراكز الطبية والعلمية فى الشرق الأوسط المتخصصه فى علاج أمراض الكلى وجراحة المسالك البوليه وجراحات نقل الكلى.

لقد أنشىء هذا المركز نتيجة للجهود الصادقه والعطاء الوفير الذى قدمه الأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد أحمد غنيم (مدير المركز الاسبق ومؤسسه) واساتذة قسم جراحة المسالك البولية بكلية طب المنصورة، وترجع بداية انشائه إلى عام 1977 أثر زيارة المغفور له الرئيس محمد أنور السادات لمدينة المنصورة وزيارته لقسم جراحة المسالك البوليه بالمستشفى الجامعى بكلية الطب، والوقوف على ما حققه هذا القسم من إنجازات علمية وعالمية، الأمر الذى حدا بسيادته علي التوصية بإقامة هذا المركز كمشروع مصرى حضارى ينتقل بمصر على الأفاق العالمية.
