Idk if deleting song on the search bar is the only way to do it, BUT I literally just search up a song, listen to it then add it to my playlist, but… after I delete what I search it freezes like every few times I delete a song name. Overall I would give this a 5 out of 5 if you just fix that. Hope this helps and thx for reading this.
