Not very mum friendly, ( but then again baby screenings aren’t really MUBI friendly) and I understand that’s such a small margin of customers require that service. But the option would be great. This week it popped up the day before with Frankenstein only at one grimy theater north of the city (Seattle). With only paying an extra £7 a month and you receive the streaming subscription alongside a free movie ticket every week. There’s one major issue! I live a hour away from my main cinema, in Bristol. I’ve had a few instances where I’ve travelled all the way to get there, only to scan the ticket and be told it’s sold out. I think a major benefit would be to add an optional online booking system! As I can’t tell if my film is going to be sold out or not by the time I’m there and that means a major waste of my time. For the past 2 1/2 months I've been checking every week, and still nothing. I reached out to MUBI support. They try assisting at first, but couldn't resolve the issue, and did give me a free extension on my annual subscription. Then they literally told me that I might want to consider the basic subscription when it's time for me to renew! **Developer response:** Our apologies for the inconvenience. It is not always possible to show every film in every one of our partner cinemas. ### 1/5 — Only Available at Expensive Cinema now *2026-02-20, version 27.1* Mubi Go no longer works at my cinema of choice - Hyde Park Picturehouse in Leeds. Now the only close option for me is the Everyman - if I want to go to the cinema with someone, their ticket would cost more the cost of 2 tickets at Hyde Park Picturehouse. This had made Mubi Go completely useless for me - I’d only ever use it if I was going to the cinema by myself. Que tristeza 😭 ### 1/5 — No value for money outside london *2025-06-22* If you don’t live in London this is a complete waste of money. It’s been the same film for four weeks now my area. Before that, it was the same film for three weeks. Whereas they are not technically lying when a say ‘a hand-picked cinema ticket every single week’ it’s also not exactly being entirely honest either by failing to make clear it might be the same film for several weeks. There’s a big difference tickets for two films, vs tickets for two. I’m stuck with the annual membership and it’s so not worth it. **Developer response:** If the latest Film of the Week isn’t playing at a partner cinema near you, you will be offered a ticket to the most recently selected film that’s playing near you. You may later become eligible to redeem a ticket for the film once it arrives in additional cinemas. However, the app will continue to prioritize the newest selection. We aim to select films that are available at a variety of cinemas, but cannot guarantee they will be showing at the same venues every week. Not only that, but every time I use this at a theater it takes a long time to get a ticket because they have no idea what MUBI GO is or how to process it. Also, why are they only setup with one theater in DFW?
