A camera app that keeps recording very long videos.

1. If power is supplied, it keeps recording video endlessly, just as the name suggests.
2. When running on battery, it records and safely saves video for as long as possible.

I went searching for an app that would let me record the way we used to record videos, without having to export everything into another app just to edit it. My wife and I realized that the way we used to capture video has almost been lost over time. We love watching old home movies recorded on VHS or cassette tapes that captured long, meaningful moments like trips to amusement parks, birthdays, and holidays.

Over the last ten years, most of our videos have turned into short clips, usually a minute or less, and spread all over the place.

I’m comfortable loading clips into iMovie or other editing apps, or even exporting them to a computer to use something like Adobe Premiere. But most of the time, I only end up with one or two clips from an event, which defeats the purpose.

When Apple added the ability to pause video while recording, I thought that would solve the issue. Unfortunately, it doesn’t let you resume the same recording session if you lock your phone and come back later.

Mugen does exactly what I’ve been looking for without requiring another paid subscription. After spending some time getting familiar with the app, I found I could record small clips throughout the day during an event and then come back later to combine them into a single movie file.

The developer has created something special here. This is a well thought out app that does what it needs to do, with clear explanations and helpful notes throughout. It has earned a permanent spot on my lock screen so I can access it quickly every day.

緊急時を想定しているので、このアプリは使用頻度は低いから、たまに起動させて細かく設定して動作確認をしています！
緊急時とは「他人とのトラブル」です。だから（操作ロック）、（スクリーンセイバー）、（起動即録画開始）にしています。あとは画質とかインカメラとかデータ保存方法の調整確認をしていますので、今回の（フロントカメラ反転処理）機能は喜ばしいですね！

全ての面で期待はずれ。

### 2/5 — よく作り込まれた長時間録画可能なアプリですが…

なんと最新のiPhone16ProMaxでは広角カメラと望遠カメラに対応してないらしく切り替える事が出来ませんでした。これにはかなりショックでした。標準カメラのようにズーム倍率によって自動で切り替わると思ってました。レンズを隠して試したので間違いありません。機能自体は素晴らしいのですが…。iPhone16ProMaxのレンズに対応したら⭐︎５に違いありません。あとデジタルズーム禁止の設定も有れば尚良しです。
因みに勿論プレミアム会員でiOS は18.5です。

追記
メイン画面でリアとフロントカメラを切り替えるボタンは有りますがここに広角や望遠に切り替え出来るボタンが有っても良いかもしれません。

あとショートカットのオートメーションでスリープ中でも指定時刻に自動的に起動して撮影を開始、終了する機能があると最強です。

はじめに、広角・望遠カメラへの切り替えがうまく行えず、ショックだったとのこと、ご期待に沿えず大変申し訳ありません。カメラの選択に関する挙動について、アプリ内で十分にご説明できておらず、当方の力不足を感じております。

ご指摘の通り、無限カメラのレンズ切り替えは、選択されている録画品質によって挙動が異なります。
例えばFHD(1080p)・30fpsなどの設定では、Nyatama様が期待されたように、ズーム倍率に応じて物理カメラ（レンズ）が自動で切り替わる「マルチカメラモード」で動作します。

一方で、4K・60fpsといった高いパフォーマンスが要求される設定では、録画品質を最優先するため、撮影前に使用するレンズと録画品質を一つのプリセットとして明示的にご選択いただく方式となっております。

標準カメラアプリでは、録画前はズーム操作でレンズが自動的に切り替わるように見えますが、実際に録画を開始すると、その録画開始時のプリセットにロックされる仕様になっています。この自動的な挙動は手軽な反面、「意図せずデジタルズームされた映像になっていた」といったことが（頻繁に）起こり得る側面もございます。
無限カメラでは、プレミアム機能をご導入いただいているこだわりの撮影をされる皆様に、意図した通りの映像を確実に記録していただくため、あえてこの方式を採用しております。

撮影中に自動でファイルを分割保存してくれる安心感が魅力的で、無限カメラをインストールしました。使用感も良く、すぐにプレミアム機能を購入させていただきました。

そのうえで、開発者の方にぜひご検討いただきたい点があります。

私は普段、iPhoneの画面の向きを縦にロックした状態で使っています。この状態で無限カメラを横向きに構えて撮影しても、動画が縦向きで記録されてしまいます（フォトライブラリ上でも縦動画として保存されます）。標準のカメラアプリでは、画面のロックに関係なく横向きに構えれば横動画として撮影できるため、同様の挙動が可能になれば大変ありがたいです。

また、カメラ倍率の切り替えボタンについても要望です。私はiPhone 15 Pro Maxを使用していますが、標準カメラのように「0.5x・1x・2x・5x」といった切り替えボタンがなく、ズームがやや不便に感じています。無限カメラの設計方針とは異なるかもしれませんが、姉妹アプリのゼロカメラでも同様の仕様であったため、今後のアップデートでご検討いただければ幸いです。

近赤外線オーロラ定点観測用に使用中。ノーマルパッケージでも想像以上に役立っている。2FLOPSの連続録画だと標準的な画質でも5分パッケージで数十Mサイズとコンパクト。ファイルはパッケージ毎に整理保管され、パッケージ毎に他ファイルとの共有が可能で扱い易い。画像にタイムスタンプも追加表示出来て、資料としての使い勝手も良い。6時間の連続観測で早速天体現象の補足に成功した。
