But for the longest time, when I try to click on the option, nothing happens. Please fix ### 1/5 — Customer Beware *2024-01-02, version 4.9* We haven’t supported Mugg & Bean for several years due to the lack of quality control and absent minded staff (Blue Route Mall) At some point we must have signed up for this app which now turns out to be a deeply regrettable decision. Even after deleting the app, we receive text messages at 02:38 in the morning. Emails to their head office during the past month haven’t stopped this from happening. They are also potentially selling your details to third party marketing companies. I tried and failed to load my card to complete the order 6 times… Cool if its working - frustrating if not ### 1/5 — App and store stole money *2021-07-23, version 3.7* Between Atterbury Value Mart Mugg&Bean and the App, I was done in with R66 of collected rewards. Numerous emails and requests. Shop owner says “bad app management and poor app and hating the fact that it is used for payments”. App developers should have gotten back to me months ago. Still no outcome. Poor and pathetic from one of the biggest coffee restaurants in South Africa ### 1/5 — Deceptive language *2021-06-30, version 3.6* This app makes it seem like you can get a free coffee after downloading the app. This is technically true, but very sneaky. You won’t get a complimentary coffee upon your first visit, instead you will start earning loyalty points towards a free coffee. Only after purchasing approximately 7 coffees, will you have earned the amount of ‘beans’ needed for a complimentary coffee. Loyalty programs are great, but this is a very deceptive way to lure someone into one. 1star from me and I’ll not be using the app thank you. Lastly, this is a review on the app, not the restaurant chain. Mugg and Bean as a restaurant is great ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work!!! Use it only for rewards *2018-09-04, version 1.1* I used the app to pay and there was some link error. I showed the branch it had gone through on my bank but because they didn’t see it on their system I had to pay twice. Got promised they would phone me back but nothing. Just don’t use the app. It’s terrible. ### 1/5 — Stingy *2018-04-03, version 1.0.3* I calculated that one would have to spend almost R1200 before earning the smallest cappuccino they have on the menu or in other terms you would have to buy about 40 coffees before earning a free one Additionally, they ask all your personal information beforehand and verify your phone number, no doubt for marketing purposes. AVOID - this is not a rewards app but a data collection tool! ### 2/5 — Lack of communication *2023-10-07, version 4.9* We ordered a few different toasties this morning with order ahead and collect. After waiting quite a while for acceptance, we received an SMS saying order rejected due to items out of stock. How are we supposed to know which items is out of stock? Would love communication just to know what not to order, since we desperately want toasties and want to order again. ### 2/5 — What is the point? *2022-03-26, version 4.1* I don’t need it for anything other than a loyalty app and for special offers. Only seen birthday free slice of cake otherwise everything else is advertised at the store. Need to see more app deals to buy/try something new on the menu. But you spend R1,200 to earn a one free cup of coffee???
