## What is Mukjah?

Mukjah answers one question: what exactly should you order, and why should you trust that answer?

Most food apps hand you a restaurant and a star rating. Mukjah hands you a dish — and the person who actually ate it.

INSIDER ORDER CARDS
Every recommendation is one dish at one restaurant, written by someone who ate it there. What they ordered, why they ordered it, and how to order it — including the small things only regulars know.

VERIFIED VISITS, NOT OPINIONS
Every card begins at the verification step - the counter code, your receipt, or a photo or video from that day. Cards backed by a confirmed visit carry a "Visit verified" mark, and only confirmed visits count toward becoming a Regular at that restaurant.

TASTE, MEASURED
Every dish carries a seven-axis flavor profile — sweet, salty, sour, bitter, savory, refreshing, hearty. Build your own profile and find dishes that match how you actually eat, not what happens to be trending.

KOREAN OR AMERICANIZED
One slider on every card shows how traditional or how Americanized a dish is, so you know what you are walking into before you sit down.

STANDING YOU EARN, RESTAURANT BY RESTAURANT
Your relationship with each place is tracked on its own. Keep coming back and you become a Regular there — at that restaurant, not on a global leaderboard.

THE OWNER'S TABLE
Restaurants get a place to speak in their own words: what they would serve their mother, their grandmother, or a close friend.

PARKING, ACTUALLY
Every restaurant page tells you whether there is a lot, whether there is valet, and how long it is free. In Koreatown that is not a detail.

WHAT MUKJAH IS NOT
No star ratings. No rankings. No leaderboards. No paid placement. Nothing about a restaurant can be bought.

WHERE IT WORKS
Mukjah currently covers Koreatown, Los Angeles. Korean and English, with Korean-first content that is never machine-translated.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-29

Pyunji, open to more people
• Search for anyone and start a letter from the new letter sheet.
• Send a letter straight from an Insider Order Card, and quote the card in your message.
• Quoted cards now notify the person you send them to.

Map
• The map opens faster: it no longer waits for the card feed to load.
• Tap a pin to see the restaurant's "Mukjah Favorite" dish first, with its photo, flavor profile, and the rest of the menu below.
• Describe what you're craving in your own words, and the map finds matches. The first time, we ask before your text is sent to Google Gemini. You can turn this off anytime in the same sheet or in Settings.

Profile
• Your Saved list and your cards are now at the top of your profile.

Discover
• The deck now explains what it's for: the more you pick, the closer the next card gets to your taste.

Challenges & onboarding
• A new getting-started guide and rewards intro on the Challenges screen, and challenges you can already claim are shown first.
• Onboarding now ends with dishes picked for your taste profile.

Restaurant pages
• The "Insider" tab is now called "Cards", so it's clear what's inside.

Plus fixes: letter list layout, and map pins no longer show "no pins" before loading finishes.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-09-19

Bug fixes and stability improvements.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-17

The app explains itself now, and writing a card takes less.

• Guided from the first tap
The first time you open a tab, the app speaks over that screen and points at the real thing — what the pipeline is (discover → verify a visit → become a regular → write a card), and what an Insider Order Card actually is. It works before you sign in, and it follows no set order: go wherever you want and the guide meets you there.

• A card is five things now
A photo, who wrote it, the menu, the flavor profile, and one thing to say. Which one thing depends on where you stand — Regulars leave an Insider tip, everyone else says why they ordered it. Korean–American ratio, temperature and texture are off the card.

• Add a dish that isn't listed
The menu step now has "＋ Add the menu you ordered" pinned to the top. Name required, price and photo optional. It's selected for your card right away and appears on the restaurant's menu from then on.

• Explanations that arrive when you earn them
The first Jung you receive, the first place you save, the first card you get — each one explains itself at the moment it happens, not in a manual you'd never open.

• Four new badges
Flavor Profiler, Well Traveled, Menu Maven and Photo Plate — for setting the flavor profile, carding different restaurants, carding different dishes, and posting cards with a photo.

• A calmer map
Pins without photos that pile up in the same spot are thinned down to one, so the map reads at a glance. Saved and active pins always stay visible.

Plus: the feedback button no longer sits on top of sheets, the ⓘ stays put beside a title instead of drifting to the edge, and the discovery deck dropped its first-use nudge and direction captions — the buttons were already saying it.
