### 5/5 — Much better with latest version

*2012-02-16, version 2.0*

Thank you for this update. These changes make the app much more enjoyable to play.

I'm also glad to see that the developers listened to their users and worked on fixing the issues that were discussed. Kudos!

### 5/5 — AWESOME FOR HOMESCHOOL!!!!

*2012-02-15, version 2.0*

We love this app! I really appreciate having multiple files so each of my children can have their own. The graphics are cool and engaging, making my kids want to learn (shhhh! don't tell them they think they are just playing!) :)

Update! We are loving the update! The multiple quiz modes, games to unlock and review features are awesome additions. This is a great way for kids to work on memorizing their multiplication tables. My kids LOVE Multiplying Acorns!

### 5/5 — Cute app!

*2012-01-05, version 1.0.1*

Those little squirrels are so stinkin' cute I love watching them pop up! Great app for the tedious job of memorizing multiplication tables. Customize the highest number in settings.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2012-01-03, version 1.0.1*

I really like the visual appeal of this app. It really helps to understand the concept of multiplication. I have their addition and subtraction apps as well and really like all three.

### 5/5 — Love Operatio apps!

*2012-01-03, version 1.0.1*

Adding Apples, Subtracting Sardines, and now the newest- Multiplying Acorns. Wonderful visual representation of mathemtic operations. Good parent/ teacher controls to help tailor instruction. Can't wait for what holds in store for division!

### 5/5 — Better than peanuts!

*2012-01-03, version 1.0.1*

I love that acorns are multiplying! ( allergies to peanuts)..
Fun way to reinforce multiplication skills for my students... they ask to use it and definitely like it too! That's what's important.... since kids can be the toughest critics!!!!

### 5/5 — Fun and helpful!

*2012-01-02, version 1.0.1*

Both fun and helpful, a great combo for learning! We also have their other math apps and find them all very useful. I like how hands on they are!

### 5/5 — Great series of products

*2011-12-22, version 1.0.1*

I love the consistency between Adding Apples, Subtracting Sardines, and this one. Our kindergarten daughter has special needs, and we have been told she would not be able to master higher math concepts. She was immediately drawn to Adding Apples, with very little instruction or help from me. When we got this app, I thought we would have to wait a bit, but she found it by herself. She was already familiar with the operations of the app and jumped right into multiplication. What a fabulous introduction for her. It is a visual and fun way of exploring math. As she says, "That's a lot of acorns!"

### 5/5 — Visual math at its best

*2011-12-21, version 1.0.1*

Love this app. Great for helping see what multiplication is all about. Visually shows acorns for solving mutiplication problems, lets you move them around and rewards you for correct answer! Well done!

### 5/5 — Great visual way to understand math concepts! Great for multi-sensory learners!

*2011-12-20, version 1.0.1*

Multiplying Acorns HD gives such great multi-sensory input to understand math multiplication concepts. I have two daugthers with autism. For them, anything that can help them see, hear, and experience concepts like this app does helps them learn better. I enjoy playing it also!

### 5/5 — Adorable

*2011-12-18, version 1.0.1*

This app is such a cute was for kids to practice multiplication facts.

### 5/5 — Good visual representation of the multiplication concept

*2011-12-18, version 1.0.1*

Great concept, superb graphics and wonderful customization options. Squirrels are my favorites, love their cute voices too. However, I prefer the squirrels to be more spaced apart so that when they throw up the acorns, the different groups of acorns can be seen more clearly. The concept of multiplication is best understood as the sum of a few groups of equal number of objects. The display of the number sentence should also appear as the child chooses the numbers and the operator for visual reinforcement. Furthermore, the answer can be included at the end in a horizontal line. This is easier for new learners. I would also like to have the option where the acorns are numbered as they are touched/counted one by one. Terms used in the settings page can be more self-explanatory too.

This is a great multiplication app and I hope to see it get better so that it can give more support to the children with special needs who are using it.

### 5/5 — my kids love this app

*2011-12-17, version 1.0.1*

My 6 year old really likes this app and my 10 year old enjoys it too. Great way of explaining multiplication and fantastic rewards to keep their attention!

### 5/5 — Wow

*2011-12-17, version 1.0.1*

I am so impressed by this app, it is an incredibly perfect learning app.

### 5/5 — Perfect for learning multiplication!

*2011-12-12, version 1.0.1*

This app has been the perfect learning tool for my 7 year old who is just learning multiplication! I didn't want him to use an app that focused on fact memorization before he understood the concept of multiplication. This app really explains multiplication perfectly, in an engaging way, and he really understands now that it's about sets, not just about pure memorization.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Good start

*2012-01-07, version 1.0.1*

I love the concept and the visuals , but I don't understand why you can't use the number again in the same session until all of them have been used. Also switching users you have to go to setting instead of home option, which I actually try to keep my students away from b/c I don't want them editing settings accidentally.

### 3/5 — Great idea

*2012-01-03, version 1.0.1*

I like this app but I am bothered by the drifting of the acorns. A big strategy for dealing with the numbers would be using an array, groups of 10 all lined up so they are easy to see and count. The movement of the acorns makes it hard to get them orderly for counting quickly and efficiently. Maybe array options after the acorns are cracked would be cool - a button to quickly move them into organized piles by groups of 5 or 10.

### 4/5 — Educator suggestions

*2015-07-08, version 2.0*

I, and my students, love this app. The cute, engaging visuals are necessary for understanding of an abstract concept. I would like to offer some suggestions, if I may: offer the numeral 0 (perhaps an invisible squirrel throwing zero acorns), make it possible to multiply a number by itself (6 times 6), and it would be clearer to a child to be able to still see the numbers chosen after the squirrel(s) throws the acorns in the air. Could the acorns fly into the air ( Children do like that part!) and come back down in their respective groupings? I.e. 4 times three would have 4 squirrels throw the 3 acorns (each) into the air and they would come down in groups of four.

### 4/5 — Awesome app

*2011-12-23, version 1.0.1*

Awesome app with impressive 3D graphics. My first and third graders both loved it. Lots of fun as well conceptually teaches multiplication. A suggestion for improvement is to have app generated quiz as an option for the kids. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Awesome

### 5/5 — Awesome App

We have been trying for weeks to get my 6yr old to wrap her mind around multiplication. With some guidance, and switching the level to novice, she clicked after about 8 questions. I Highly recommend this App. The graphics are amazing. I really like how you can count the acorns, break them up, and manipulate them. BEST APPMI HAVE SEEN FOR MULTIPLICATION AND CHEAP TO BOOT!

### 5/5 — Great for 5 and 3 year olds

My son and daughter love the app. The actually play together. My son (soon to be 6) is doing great with it. He likes the rewards like coins, trophies and bonus games. My daughter (3) loves cracking the acorns. She's even starting to learn the tables as well. The graphics are gorgeous and loads of fun.

### 5/5 — Super learning app

### 5/5 — Cute & fun app

*2012-02-23, version 2.0*

Thanks for hosting the app party for my A4 family. This app is adorable! I really like how I can change the level and speed of the math problems my son receives when he plays. He is 14 on the autism spectrum & he also struggles with a math disability & anxiety. So finding an app that he can comfortably play at his own pace is hard but u got it right. He loves their voices! 'They sound like Chipmunks.'. This is an adjustable math app that will work well with any level.
