### 2/5 — How do you get this to work?

*2020-11-05*

So, I went ahead and with happy anticipation, bought the app (just a dollar, not bad.) and then downloaded it. First page is very minimal with a box to type in your word. So I did that, then there were other boxes that allowed me to modify my search, so far so good. I hit return on my keyboard and nothing happens. There isn’t a “go” or “enter” or “submit”button, there are just those aforementioned boxes. How do I get this to work? What am I missing?

**Developer response:** Hi silver thing! Have you checked out the tutorial on the app? The question mark in a circle at the top right of the screen will take you there. If you're still finding it difficult to use, feel free to get in touch at info@interactivecoconut.com, I'd be happy to help.

### 3/5 — Sophomoric

*2020-01-26*

I had high hopes for this app and paid for it straight away. But those hopes were soon dashed.

If you’re looking for a grade-school level thesaurus, this’ll suit you just fine.

But if you’re looking for an app to help you uncover new/unique words, new phrases, or perhaps new leaps of verbal logic… avoid this app.

The concept is great, but unfortunately, It’s a collection of basic words, thoughts, and phrases.

Sigh.

### 4/5 — Useful!

*2019-08-22, version 2.0*

Right away I checked to see how many synonyms I could find for a word I looked up on thesaurus.com and there were less results. Maybe I need to get used to the app separating the results grammatically so I can find them all? Not sure why I didn’t get “hasty” when I was looking for a synonym for “quick”. It’s easy to use! Colors are dull, maybe I can change them...

### 1/5 — Very Limited Vocabulary

*2016-01-06, version 1.00*

There are better free alternatives.
Only works in portrait orientation.
Deleted.

### 2/5 — Not "ALL the synonyms"

*2015-11-16*

I have the Merriam-Webster dictionary and thesaurus. I put a simple word (excited) in both. Multisaurus gave me about 7 synonyms. MW thesaurus gave me about 100 (I quit counting at 88)

The concept of adding words to narrow it down is great, but when you only start with seven, how narrow do you want??

Skip it.

### 2/5 — Limited

*2015-07-23*

Doesn't produce many synonyms, only the absolute most common choices. Also has trouble with adverbs.

### 4/5 — Synonym finding

*2015-02-05*

To find out synonyms is useful to be used this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very confusing.

*2022-07-16*

It only shows the word(s) I put in. I can’t figure it out!

### 1/5 — Scam?

*2021-12-10*

Is this a scam? After I opened the app, my iPhone froze. Still cannot get app to work. There should be a zero stars choice.

### 1/5 — Constant & Endless feedback request interruptions

*2021-11-05*

3 interruptions from ‘feedback request’ window in the first 30 seconds using the app…and they Just Kept coming. So here we are. Is this what you were hoping for?

### 1/5 — No Good

*2021-09-27, version 2.1.1*

Don’t waist your money.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-08-21*

Bought the premium version a while back and it worked at first but now adding additional words doesn’t do anything. No added synonyms after the first word. Basically I paid for a regular thesaurus that gives a couple synonyms on one word and that’s it. Literally any thesaurus app will be better than this

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work in my iPad

*2021-03-03*

It’s not for iPad be aware.

### 1/5 — No instructions

*2020-09-14*

This app does not have in instructions.
I typed the word “this” and it didn’t give me the synonym for it.

**Developer response:** Hi More of God! Have you checked out the tutorial on the app? The question mark in a circle at the top right of the screen will take you there. If you're still finding it difficult to use, feel free to get in touch at info@interactivecoconut.com, I'd be happy to help.

About the word 'this', it seems as though the thesauri arent returning any results for that word, I'm going to take a look at that. At the very least it should let you know that no results were returned.

### 1/5 — Didn’t even get to use it

*2020-04-13*

I went to use it and immediately I was hit with a paywall.

Update: they responded and said there is a free 14 day trial that isn’t a subscription.
But it’s still not free as advertised on the App Store. So still a 1 Star.

**Developer response:** Hi Thatredheadgeek, you can sign up for a free trial of 14 days within the app (And be reassured this is not a subscription).

### 1/5 — Not working

*2019-09-07, version 2.0*

Very bad experience

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2019-06-15*

Very limited, deleted it almost the minute I installed it. There’s lots of free apps that can do a better job than this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Where have you been all my life?!! **POET’S APPROVAL

*2021-05-12*

This is one of those apps that I’m sure all writers like myself contemplated inventing at some point throughout the duration of their writers block or if ever you’re stuck on a word that just can’t seem to pop into mind. This app has alleviated so much unnecessary frustration that’s associated with “word-farts” as my daughter calls them. It is clean, aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate, and fun to play on- even as an adult who takes her writing serious. Since discovering it in all its splendor, I can’t necessarily complain about anything in particular; tbh the only thing that’s missing is an angelic-hymnal cord upon initial opening of the app.... what an appropriate introduction jingle if I do say so myself. But yes, I would highly recommend to all my fellow poets and writers of all backgrounds. I am a passionate writer and I’ve made this app a consistent part of my everyday writing: and it’s definitely considered a reliable source for vocabulary expansion and/or rediscovered definitions of words you love to incorporate. Love it. Great job creating this app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-03-01*

It has minor bugs in trying to reset the words. But, for the money you will find it hard to beat.

### 5/5 — Bought it way back. Reviewing now hahaha

*2021-01-18*

Truly handy.

Good UI.

Simple to use.

### 5/5 — Perfect app

*2020-09-06*

Simply the best thesaurus app out there! You’ll love it!

### 5/5 — Good App - Clever Approach

*2019-06-11, version 2.0*

I like this app because it has a different approach to other thesaurus apps I have used and returns loads of interesting possibilities. I think if you’re hunting for a particular word or phrase, then just enter a few related words and this app will almost certainly find it for you.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2014-12-18, version 1.00*

Great app, very helpful.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2014-12-12, version 1.00*

A useful little tool

### 5/5 — Great Utility

*2014-11-29*

Great utility! Shows you new synonyms you wouldn't think of by combining two or more words. Nice idea. Good for writers and creating creative titles.

### 5/5 — Nice app!

*2014-11-16*

Really awesome app, I can see how this would be very useful for writing, brainstorming, and coming up with ideas!

### 4/5 — Super!

*2025-07-27*

A good resource for coming up with different words to express a meaning. However, I would love to see a dictionary definition for each word. It would be perfect with that addition.
