Would be great to have a batch load option and an EQ upgrade. Still a legit little DAW. and for the people complaining over 5 bucks… ur goofy ### 4/5 — Add MIDI! *2026-04-03, version 6.3.6* I don’t mean for notes. I don’t need a whole piano roll. I just want MIDI transport controls so that I could trigger recording and playback without the app being in focus. Best audio editing app out there. *2025-06-18, version 6.3.6* I was probably one of the first downloaders years ago and it’s still my favorite DAW app. Why the 4 stars then? Because you totally ignored my comment for two years. In the edit mode you can't see the top buttons of the menu while working on the upper track. When the menu pops out the upper functions are "hidden" outside of the screen (Design problem) Also, where did the move arrows go? If ain’t broken don’t fix it please. Anyway, keep up the good work. To me it reminds me a lot of Reaper. I find a lot of these “full featured daws” sort of controlling. GarageBand being the worst, it feels like it’s trying to make the song for me. In Harmonicdog multitrack daw I feel like I have full access to MY creativity. A couple requests please 🙏🏼 *2024-05-22, version 6.3.6* I love this app and have been using it for years! Thank you for making a stable audio focused recording app that gets out of the way and lets the creativity flow! 1. I have two UI requests. The VU meters only stay up for a few seconds after clicking on them and this is frustrating when trying get all my inputs oh so perfect. It would be nice if there was an option to manually toggle the expanded view on and off. 2. Plug ins. My plug ins have tiny font and tiny buttons on them. Especially on my phone. It would be awesome if there was a toggle switch to manually maximize their windows. Also, I like that there is a button at the top of the plugin to choose from the presets. It would be nice if there was a similar button that pulled up a list of all the adjustable parameters in the plugin and then let the user make changes. ### 3/5 — Best one ever! I can’t seem to find a way to back up my entire file library, though!?? I've loved it for several years. Did I say it's the best? ### 5/5 — No Better Mobile DAW than Multitrack *2023-11-05, version 6.3.6* I have been using this app heavily since like 2016. It is perfect for demo-ing. It is also perfectly capable of more professional tracking. With the track add-ons you can get up to 32 tracks. I have used it successfully to do live tracking of my band with maybe 14 or 15 simultaneous tracks with no issues (obviously you will need an interface that has multiple inputs for this). It doesn't have a ton of FX, but the built-in ones are perfect for my needs. The best part of this app, in my opinion, is the simple and intuitive interface. It usually takes me a long time to learn new tracking software, but with this one I was up and running in like 15 minutes...I have plenty of other tracking software apps and desktop programs, and each have certain advantages of their own...but for the most part whenever I start a new project I find myself gravitating to Multitrack. Oh, and one more thing, bouncing down projects and exporting them is a breeze. That is often not the case with other DAW software...in my experience. Anyway...get it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — garbage app don't waste a cent *2026-08-12, version 6.3.6* i made the mistake of buying this app. it's the least intuitive daw i have ever seen, want to record 4 channels from an audio interface or more? ... oh that's a hidden double the purchase price for just 2 more channels! then good luck figuring out how to get this pos app to recognize those channels or even worse turn on the hidden monitoring which you'd think would be automatic but no those are hidden deeply within the ui. then good luck getting this turd to record... it won't record when you hit record like would be the easiest thing you'd expect to be able to do. no the programmers wanted to keep it a secret... i wasted an hour to get to this point and still can't get this trash to just record for more than about 3 seconds which is its limit... it won't record when you hit record it just randomly starts recording.... terrible app get garageband which sucks but is free and actually works or loopy pro if you just want a daw that makes sense ### 1/5 — scam company, garbage app don't waste a cent *2026-05-25, version 6.3.6* i bought this because it was advertised as being able to record 4 channels from an audio interface simultaneously... but no only 2 miserable channels... that's one single stereo in plug. just get beat maker 3 and save your self a huge headache or use garageband that is only 2 channels but free with everything this app does and thousands of other things... This was not made clear in the documentation. ### 1/5 — Waste of £4.99 *2025-07-12, version 6.3.6* It only allows two tracks then you have to spend more money to get more. Useless! ### 1/5 — Not what it seems *2025-05-21, version 6.3.6* Plugged my xr18 in to it, it sees all 18 channels BUT, you only get two channels when you buy the app. To add another 6 costs another 4.99. There is no warning of this prior to purchase. So to add the rest will be another 9.98. Also, I can send channels out from x-edit or mixing station to the app and get a signal and record, I also see an output signal but nothing is received back at the Xr. With no trial available unless you have hardware that someone has successfully used and reviewed I’d say save your money. ### 1/5 — Paid full price only to be asked to pay more for more than 2 tracks. *2024-07-06, version 6.3.6* Seriously? Also there’s no information where a clip is in the time scale. So moving clips around is near impossible. Also when I would hold down an area to get the options, some were halfway off the screen and I have an iPad Pro 12.9” and I couldn’t see what the option is. Also considering where are in the year 2022 the user interface needs a major update. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t!! I have an old iPhone 13 Pro Max and it’s running perfectly on it. I just received a lightning to 1/8” plug from amazon yesterday.. you have to choose which of your iPhone mics to use ( front, back, or bottom). The front made a funny racket, but the bottom worked fine, as well as the back. You have to spend another $5 for an xtra 6 tracks.. for $10 it’s an 8 track. I did a 3 track jam came out nice.. lofi but fun. Also works great w an Apogee Hype mic. I just did two acoustics, upright and snare w brushes.. sounds good. If you like playing acoustic instruments, and no fuss, I highly recommend that set up. It runs off your phone battery. There’s compression, eq, delay, and reverb. You could add some other things, but for my purposes, it’s great. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2026-05-17, version 6.3.6* Been a pro tools user forever. I wish their designers were this brilliant. Beautifuly thought out daw, just usable, intuitive and every function you want in a multi track recorder. Well done whoever you are for doing this. ### 5/5 — Spitzenmäßig! *2025-12-04* Ich habe dafür ein älteres iPhone 8 mit meinem Behringer X18 verbunden und konnte 16 Spuren aufnehmen über eine Stunde, dann habe ich es gestoppt und war gespannt, wie ich die Dateien auf den Mac bekomme. Auch dafür gibt es eine Lösung: Über den Browser kann man alles schön herunterladen, die Aufnahmen löschen und das Dokument mit den Spuren einfach wieder für die Nächste Aufnahme nutzen. Das ganze lässt sich auch auf dem iPhone trotz des kleinen Displays gut nutzen. Vielen Dank für die tolle App! If you have a USB-C iPad or iPhone and class compliant source(s) it is so easy to record multiple tracks at the same time. Are there apps that do more or have prettier interfaces? For sure. But if recording, basic mixing, and exporting is what you want to do, don’t look further. Original review: Just downladed and started using this with an iRig Pro to capture my acoustic guitar. Works great, clear and easy to use interface. I'm not a pro and this was super easy to figure out. If your key goal is to record tracks, this is your tool.
