### 5/5 — Very much worth it

*2020-10-20, version 3.9.1*

What the other Apps/Programs lack, MTS takes care of it. More importantly , and again where the others fail, is the quick support when you need it. My only regret is that I purchased other apps before finding this one.

The learning curve is ‘average’ depending on your experience with these programs but the support, particularly in their forum, has your back.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have music to record.

### 5/5 — The perfect iPad DAW for me.

*2020-09-26, version 3.8.1*

Amazingly functional and stable DAW that is the perfect tool for any serious recording projects on the iPad. So many powerful features. I've bought all the major iPad DAWs, and they all have their strengths, but this one is the one I love to use. It fits me perfect. It does it's job very well without interrupting my creative workflow with buggy behavior - the way a DAW should be. I like the simple GUI which is not only well thought out, but so quick to use once you get the hang of it (and easy to learn I must add). I only wish I had bought this DAW first, it would have save me time, money, and frustration. I'm so impressed and happy with this app I bought the pro extension, even though I didn't need it, just to support the dedicated developer. I also appreciate that this app can run on my older iPad (iOS 10). I am recommending MTS to my recording buddies as the best iPad DAW to get.

### 5/5 — Kept updated

*2019-12-07, version 3.6*

Developer response is prompt. This is a good buy no doubt.

### 5/5 — One of the best

*2019-08-01, version 3.5.1*

The developer is devoted to the app and constantly updates it, and it keeps getting better and better. It doesn’t get enough attention in the music app community, but it is my DAW of choice and I recommend it to anyone who is serious about producing music on the iOS platform.

### 5/5 — Feature Rich, Solid, For Pros, The Best on iOS

*2019-04-02, version 3.4*

You won’t be able to match this app feature for feature with anything else in iOS. Learn the interface and you will be addicted.

This is a secret jewel. Get the pro extension and you will never look back. This app has possibly the best punch-in features available. Internal sampling is a breeze. Time stretch, multiple time signatures and tempos, convolution reverb, guitar amp, fully IAA, AU, and AUv3 compatible. MIDI routing, internal keyboard, chord pads, guitar fretboard, and more.

Smooth real-time scrubbing with midi and audio!

Time signature and tempo mapping.

A song editor that easily operates across all tracks. A midi editing interface that offers access TO ALL MIDI TRACKS AT ONCE.

It even features notation!

Look at the size of the app. A fraction of the size of other DAWS with twice the feature set. It must be written in magic.

If you do more than cut up pieces of other people’s music and glue them together you will certainly benefit from this app. Kudos Geil Bremmers!

### 5/5 — Easy and fun

*2018-03-23, version 2.9.1*

I was looking for an alternative to GarageBand because of a few limitations it has. (eg time signatures, change time signatures within a song). I tried out several and Multitrackstudio is easily the best. MTS has a easy to use interface and there were very few things I needed to look up in the manual. I was able to complete a song in quick time. I had some trouble using other apps but from what I’ve read on he forum this is not a MTS problem.
Even with the full sixteen tracks it ran the song without a hitch. Another quite expensive app with a famous name that I tried failed when I put a few tracks in. Maybe I will update for the extension for the audio editing capabilities.
Great app.

### 5/5 — Professional DAW

*2018-01-01, version 2.9.1*

Fancy interfaces attract a lot of users. It is a pity that they don’t go for the more important things. I read reviews and most of the hype are things like “dope Colors” and “sexy buttons”. The fact that an app is easy to use and has all the features of a professional DAW seems to be less important. This DAW really does have a full professional DAW feature set and takes very little time to master. I find the interface to be sexy and fun to use. So many people rave about old hardware simulations. Why would a musician want a new app to sound exactly like an old hardware synth and have the exact same controls. Isn’t the goal to make music that sounds as good as possible? Why would we want a DAW that looks and feels just like every other DAW on earth. I go for the one that does the best job meaning it has to have the feature set that I need and has a fast and mellow workflow. It has to be pleasing on the eye and is enjoyable to use. This DAW has it all for me plus extras that are icing on an already delicious cake.

### 5/5 — Multitrackstudio (MT) is a great app!

*2017-11-04, version 2.8*

Thanks a lot Giel Bremmers for giving a great app.
I compared GarageBand, Cubasis 2, Auria, and MTS. And now i decide to stay with Multitrackstudio and will go for the Pro version.
Even MTS is compact but its sound quality is better than the others, and it offers a lot of good tools for my recording.
Besides the MTS manual is really well prepared, it explains every steps really clearly to follow.
Good job!

### 5/5 — Another update for the top of the class

*2017-09-06, version 2.7*

The very brilliance of this app explains the poor reviews: it's idiosyncratic, and there's a learning curve. The developer is incredibly responsive, and a relentless updater, and his application does more with midi and audio editors (and more elegantly) than any other iOS DAW.

### 5/5 — Best ios DAW

*2017-08-28, version 2.7*

Has many small but essential features that are missing from the other iOS daws. Even has a tempo track that works.
The effects and processors are fantastic. Easy editing no fiddling about accidentally moving things around. Works reliably. Simple easy to read and navigate interface. Built in guitar amp and general midi instruments.
I've have the other popular daws, and Multitrackstudio is in a different league.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app, possibly one of the best midi editors!

*2017-04-19, version 2.6*

This is a well constructed app with good quality sounds and tools to get the job done. In my opinion for iOS, this is one of my top apps for music production. Mastering section is a plus too if you purchase the pro pack tools.

### 5/5 — Hidden gem

*2016-07-22, version 2.6*

Has come up trumps with everything tried so far, with an uncluttered interface. Only things I cannot find are System Exclusive, or an Event List Editor, but with an app of this quality, it can only be a matter of time, assuming it is not there already. I have only had it for a few days.

### 5/5 — Very Satisfied

*2016-02-26, version 2.5.2*

I just got MTS a few days ago and have been comparing it to Cubasis, GarageBand and etc. I have to say that I like MTS more than any other iOS MIDI sequencer and feel that I have finally found an iOS sequencer that does everything I need in the most straightforward way. MTS lets me record MIDI with poly aftertouch from my USB keyboard and apply it to other iPad synth apps.

Because of its versatility and ease of use, I've become very comfortable with it in a short period of time. Once you figure out the "hidden" features it's quick and easy to get around.

### 5/5 — The only DAW you need for iOS

*2015-10-28, version 2.4*

This is a fully functional DAW made by a developer who listens to his users. It's ultra-efficient in size, no extraneous visuals, graphics, unnecessary windows to open and close. This frees up system resources. I can load it up with tons of IAA apps at once along with some heavy soundfonts (~500 meg) that would choke other iOS apps (BS-16). Once you get to know how it works the simplicity makes for a very efficient workflow. I also love how it imports midi. You can now "open in" midi files, such as drum loops, straight from Dropbox and other apps, and it can automatically adjust the BPM of the imported file to match your project. It captures all the time signature changes from the midi file right in the DAW - so easy! I've looked at every DAW for iOS and this was the only one that fit all of my needs... to be able to use different odd time signatures, and the ability to change time signature within the song. If you look yourself you will find none of the other DAWs on iOS can do this. All other iOS DAW's are either stuck in one meter for the whole song, or can only handle a few different simple time signatures ... which I find ridiculous. The IAP has a lot of great features that I found worth the price. If you do any sort of electric guitar work you really need the IAP convolutor along with you own personal collection of cabinet impulse responses. The Convolutor paired with some subtractive EQ can really tame the signal coming from amp sim apps.. I'm a happy user. This DAW is the best currently available on ios.

### 1/5 — Connect a Midi is impossible

*2022-09-04, version 4.5.2*

Haven’t had a chance to use it due to the fact of midi connection issues. Tried to connect to my scarlet and Apollo but the app do not read them or any other commonly used midi in the game for recording live audio through a microphone. If there is a way to resolve it please let me know as I want to use your app for live podcasting and studio recording.

### 1/5 — Junk

*2020-08-05, version 3.9*

Doesn’t work. Save your money. False advertising.

### 1/5 — Complete waste of time...and money!

*2019-11-02, version 3.5.2*

$30 down the drain...

### 1/5 — Very disapointed

*2016-12-24, version 2.6*

If you plan to use this recording app alone don't do it.
This app is empty and got no goodies
It's just a big mixer for what i saw in it so far
Cubasis is way better choice. Maybe more expensive but it's worth it.

### 2/5 — Import tracks?

*2014-09-26, version 1.5*

How do u import audio tracks?

### 3/5 — Give up.

*2016-02-17, version 2.5.2*

I am done with this app. It makes me want to smash my iPad into little pieces and delete my iTunes/iCloud. And shove the broken pieces right up someone's D__k-hole.

### 4/5 — Better than most

*2022-01-02*

I own about 6 iOS DAWS. This app has several advantages but some shortcomings. The UI is somewhat quirky in that it is not all that intuitive. Takes a while to get the hang of it. The biggest advantage, for me , over similar apps is the piano roll editor. Moving and editing midi notes is extremely easy and well designed. However, there are two features I’d like to see added. It would be helpful if, when adjusting note velocity, one could hear the sound change similar to what GarageBand offers. Also, I’d like to be able to import a midi file and be able to change the key of the song.

**Developer response:** The Pro Extension IAP includes a Multi MIDI Editor which would let you transpose all MIDI tracks in one go. Without that you have to transpose the tracks one at a time (first do "select all", then tap the EDIT button and use the Transpose setting).

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2025-08-20, version 5.2*

I can’t believe more people aren’t using. This seems to me like it should be number one. It has everything a composer could want everything a songwriter could want.

### 5/5 — Better than most

*2025-05-06, version 5.1*

However, I will now standardize with the MTS Studio provided grand piano. With some tweaking of the app provided EQ, I was able to achieve a sound that rivaled the standalone app. I just saved about 800MB of space. Wish I would have pursued this earlier.

### 5/5 — Awesome iPad Multitrack Music Recording App!

*2025-01-12, version 5.0.1*

I have used MultiTrackStudio (MTS) for ipad over several years now and feel it is simply the best multitrack recording software available for home studio, professional-quality music recording. Even in its stand-alone basic version it is awesome. When linked to AUDIOSHARE and AUDIOBUS apps it creates a completely powerful, but user friendly digital audio workstation with enormous storage and organizational capacity. I put away my old Cakewalk/PC and GarageBand/ipad recording programs. MTS for ipad simply blew them all away, was much easier to use, and was very inexpensive. Perhaps its strongest feature is its developer, Geil Bremmers, who maintains an MTS user forum to quickly and personally address user questions, problems and or reports of software bugs. He also posts songs created with his App. The available high sampling rates and quality bitrates provide better than CD quality music, and the app works flawlessly with both lossless audio files and full MIDI implementation (with excellent available on-board optional instruments for playback). The Pro Extension version provides unlimited track access, multiple additional effect options, and additional MIDI playback instruments. The MTS features are too extensive to review herein. I have effectively retired my 8-track Fostex multitrack tape recording system as MTS blows it away in terms of sound quality, ease of operation, and amazing versatility. I compose, perform and record with musicians from all across the USA, most of which send me their own tracks (in .wav, .m4a, .mp3, etc formats) from either professional studios or their own complex recording software. I can do a quicker and better job of mixing their tracts down in my iPad using MTS then they can with their higher end PC or Mac programs. The MTS on-board master compression and limiter functions quite simply rival pro studios in quality, allowing me to quickly edit, mix down and provide my colleagues with multitrack stereo demo’s having CD quality, for free. Blow off Garage Band, Auria and Cubasis and move onto MultiTrackStudio….you will be very glad you did. Dr. K.

### 5/5 — Don’t let that humble icon fool you…

*2023-06-18*

MultiTrack Studio is brilliant. It has a deep feature set that gives me absolute creative freedom. It is bleeding edge with audio and especially MIDI. The developer is very engaged with users, and continues to release massive updates with great new features. Careful attention has been given to useability. 10 out of 5 stars!!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2022-10-01*

This is amazing for someone who could not work with any other app. I play the piano and violin and record both, then send the finished piece to AudioShare. I record piano on midi then violin on audio. I listen and practice until they sound good enough for me and my friends who like to hear me play.
I have played violin since I was a child and definitely play violin better then piano, but my piano makes nice background for my solo playing. I no longer play professionally but enjoy hearing myself for the first time in my very long life. Thank you so much Giel Bremers. Eleanore

### 5/5 — The Best Recording Application Ever!!!!

*2021-09-13, version 4.2*

This is the best recording app I have seen, it is very versatile and you can do so many tasks with it, this is the only recording app I will use. Thank you for the fantastic work you have done on this application.

### 5/5 — Blown away!

*2021-03-25, version 4.0.1*

The best iPad DAW available. Easy to use and powerful. I’ve tried them all and wish I would have found this first because it’s the only one you need. Keep up the great work ya’ll!

### 5/5 — MTS is ahead of the curve w MPE & MIDI 2.0!!

*2021-03-16, version 4.0*

This powerhouse keeps getting better and better. Power tools for heavy creators.

### 5/5 — Excellent Product

*2020-11-04, version 3.9.2*

Took a bit off searching to find this app. Wanted a solid midi recorder to make backing tracks for music duo. The app is a great tool. Read the manual! There is a lot this app can do. It is not a automatic beat box.
