## What is Mumblers?

Mumblers is a native client for connecting to Mumble voice-chat servers from iPhone and iPad. Save your servers, join channels, talk with low latency, and stay in control when the app or device is locked.

VOICE THAT FITS IOS
• Voice Activity with an automatic noise-aware trigger
• Push to Talk when you want explicit control
• Low-latency Opus voice over encrypted UDP with automatic fallback
• Reliable recovery after Dictation, calls, route changes, and network changes
• Separate voice volume plus clear mute and deafen controls

YOUR SERVERS, YOUR IDENTITY
• Saved server bookmarks and mumble:// links
• Passwords and imported certificate identities protected by iOS Keychain
• System certificate validation and explicit trust for self-signed servers
• Channel messages and direct messages
• On-device user blocking that immediately hides messages and drops voice audio
• A report flow with reviewable details for Mumblers support or server administrators
• Compatibility with current and legacy Mumble voice packets

USEFUL AT A GLANCE
While you are connected to a voice room, a Live Activity shows the server, channel, selected microphone, and current connection state. Mute or deafen from the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island without reopening the app.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Mumblers contains no ads, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. Diagnostics stay in memory and are shared only when you choose to export them. Blocking stays on your device, and reports are never sent automatically.

A Mumble server is required. Servers are independently operated and may have their own privacy, logging, access, and moderation policies. Mumblers is an independent Mumble-compatible client and is not the official Mumble app.

### 5/5 — Anyone using mumble in the year 2026 needs to install NOW

*2026-09-30*

Finally a Mumble client that doesn’t feel like it was last touched in 2014.
I’ve been stuck on the old official iOS Mumble app for years because that’s what everyone on our servers still uses. It works… sort of. Ugly UI, weird reconnect behavior, settings buried in the wrong places, PTT that fights you, the whole “this was designed for an iPhone 5” vibe. I kept it around out of habit, not because I liked it.
Mumblers is the first one that actually feels like someone sat down and thought about how people use this protocol on a phone in 2026. Connecting to a server is straightforward. Favorites don’t fight you. Channel tree is readable. PTT and VAD don’t feel like afterthoughts. The flows just make sense — you tap the thing you expect to tap and it does the thing you expect.
Audio quality has been solid on the same servers I already use. No mystery dropouts so far, and it doesn’t feel like I’m fighting the interface every time I switch channels or whisper someone.
If you’ve been putting up with the old app because “it still works,” try this one. It’s the first time I’ve opened a Mumble client on iOS and thought “oh, they actually designed this.” Highly recommend.
