## What is München Navigator?

It does not matter if you use the train, the underground or the bus. If you use the 'München navigator', you can buy a ticket on your mobile, including all forms of transport within Munich (MVV). You buy your ticket and off you go - flexible and uncomplicated! Additional you get actual informations, when there are disruptions on the track.

How does it work?

•Buy your ticket directly by app
You can travel all over Munich and buy the ticket in the app – in the MVV you can buy single tickets, stripe tickets, day tickets, weekly and monthly passes, the airport-city-day-ticket (single or group), the city tour ticket or day tickets for your bike. When you travel within Bavaria you can buy the Bayern-Ticket and other regional day tickets. You pay by Apple Pay, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Amex), PayPal or if you are registered by bank transfer. A purchase for third parties is also possible.

•Great on the go with MVVswipe:
From the timetable information or ticket selection, you can jump directly to the FAIRTIQ app to travel flexibly throughout the Munich Transport Association (MVV) area with MVVswipe: Swipe in. Swipe out. Done with FAIRTIQ! Billing will be done the following day at the best price according to the MVVswipe fare regulations.

•Intergrated information of the Munich timetable (MVV)
The timetable information gives you information about connections and addresses in Munich. You can store the information under 'favourites'.

•Aboportal (Subscription portal)
You can log in to the subscription portal and manage your subscription and customer data yourself. You can purchase the Deutschland-Ticket (monthly pass throughout Germany) and other subscription ticket products.

•Check the next Trains at your Station
You can see an overview of all trains at your station and check for delays

•Disturbances (Störungen)
You can get information in the case of sudden changes of timetable.

•Confirm present position
You can check your present position, especially if you are a stranger in Munich. Use the app. and find out where you are and where the best bus stop or station is in order to reach your destination.

•Subscription function (alarm function for delays)
The alarm will inform you of any delays by using the 'press' function.

•Live map of local trains
If you want to find out the present position of your train or any delays, you can use the map.

When it works, it‘s great. Often likes to break down or create repeated errors right at the moment when you need a ticket. Don’t count on it…it’s good to have a paper ticket in your pocket, just in case.

Totally useless application unless you want to know the train times.
If you want to buy a ticket you need to add persons (including birthdate) but you cannot simply buy several tickets.
You simply want a group ticket for going from A to Z they then ask you about the Zones (which are a Munich specialty dating of the last century to keep out foreigners of the city…)

Make you app simple !!
(Until then I will uninstall it🤮)

Seit kurzem findet die App keine Haltestellen mehr. Adressensuche funktioniert, Haltestellen aber bleiben leer – egal ob „Haltestellen in der Nähe“ oder Direkteingabe.
Es erscheint einfach … nichts.

Damit ist die App leider 100 % unbrauchbar.

Wenigstens kann man hier auf der „live-map“ verfolgen, ob und wann überhaupt eine S-Bahn kommt, denn die Anzeigen sind nicht immer korrekt oder gar vollständig!
Den Kauf von Tickets, Abfahrten, umliegende Haltestellen, Reiseplanung, Störung oder Baustelle-hier ist alles in einer App zusammen und ich nutze nur noch diese! 
Außerdem mag ich die klare verständliche und einfache Bedienung der App!

Ich verwende die App sehr oft und die Funktionalität ist hervorragend. Das einzige was ich mir noch wünsche ist eine Funktion für ohne Umsteigezeit. Ich pendle von Dachau zum Ostbahnhof und die schnellste Route ist die RB16 zum HBF und dann eine beliebige S-Bahn über die Stammstrecke. Diese Verbindung wird mir so nicht angezeigt weil die Strecke mit der eingerechneten Standardumsteigezeit laut App länger dauert und deswegen nicht angezeigt wird. Es wäre super, knappe Umsteigezeiten von Regio zu S-Bahn oder Allgemein umstiege mit knappen Zeiten anzeigen zu lassen aber mit einer Warnung dass die Umsteigezeit nicht ausreichen könnte. So eine Art grünes Warndreieck sodass gewarnt wird dass umstiege eventuell nicht in der Zeit abgeschlossen werden können. Als Zeichen kann man auch einen grünen oder blauen infokreis hernehmen. Einfach ein Zeichen um zu zeigen, dass der Umstieg knapp werden könnte, damit man im Notfall selber entscheiden kann. Man kann das alles in einer Zusatzoption: „Knappe umstiege“ oder ähnliches machen. Ich freue mich schon das Feature irgendwann mal zu sehen^^

I’ve tried a half dozen times on two different phones but have found the app unusable. I’ve tried searching for tickets, checking routes, etc but I cannot even create a user login. No matter what I am doing after about thirty seconds the app closes. I’ve come close trying to rush and enter personal details but have been unable to even get to the point where I can create a user account/login.

New MVV fare products 
From January 1, 2026, the MVV fare system will offer supplementary tickets for 1st class. These tickets entitle the holder to travel in 1st class on approved regional trains (SPNV) throughout the entire MVV network. A supplementary ticket for a single journey and a monthly ticket (which can be issued with validity from any day), both valid for the entire network, are available. The supplementary ticket is only valid in conjunction with a ticket valid within the MVV fare zone.
