## What is MunchGuard?

MunchGuard turns mealtime videos into a calmer chew-to-watch routine. Parent-approved videos play while your child takes steady bites, then pause with a friendly Eating Buddy reminder when bites stop. A few steady bites and the show comes right back. No open browsing for kids.

Parents stay in control of everything children see. Add exact video links you trust, or connect a parent YouTube account and review the individual videos before importing them. Only approved videos can play during mealtime, with no channel catalog, autoplay rabbit holes, or recommendations from strangers.

HOW IT WORKS
- Share a video link straight from the YouTube app or Safari (Share → Add to MunchGuard), or paste an exact link you approve.
- Premium families can connect their own YouTube account and choose individual videos from their playlists and liked videos. A remote playlist is never treated as one permanently approved item.
- Your child watches in MunchGuard's built-in, kid-safe player.
- The front camera and microphone notice chewing on-device. Chewing means play. Stopping means a gentle pause, a keep-munching Eating Buddy, and an optional parent voice cue.
- When they take a few bites, the video resumes automatically.

CONNECT YOUR YOUTUBE ACCOUNT — PREMIUM
Sign in with Google to review videos from your own YouTube playlists and liked videos, then import only the individual videos you approve into the selected child's library. Access is read-only: MunchGuard cannot post, edit, or delete anything, children never see account browsing, and your Google password never touches the app.

After a few completed meals, MunchGuard now asks whether you would like to rate the app. Nothing else changed - meals, Watch Time, your approved library, and all parent settings work exactly as before.

• New — Watch Time: sometimes a child just wants to watch, not eat. Start a timed session and your approved videos play straight through, then stop on their own. No chewing, and no camera at all.

• Kid Mode is now a focused mealtime theater with the video, clear chew status, Eating Buddy, and one deliberate Change Video action.
• Onboarding is shorter, while meal settings use clearer sections and progressive disclosure.
• Each child keeps a separate approved library, and private iCloud backup now restores child profiles and their matching meal history together.
• Meal completion is encouraging and neutral, without eating-performance scores or competitive labels.
• The obsolete widget and Live Activity surfaces have been removed so MunchGuard stays focused on the active meal.

• Meal video recording has been removed. Chew detection still uses the front camera and microphone live on-device during meals, but MunchGuard does not save meal video or meal audio.
