The only way to figure it out is to watch a video, but the video requires Internet, which of course comes over Wifi. The video keeps telling you to turn your Wi-Fi off from the control center. it’s almost impossible to follow the instructions whilst watching the video. 2. In spite of that I managed to get it set up correctly in under an hour, but, it was really hard to coordinate my pencil with the iPad, even trying various transparencies. 3. I understand that because it’s a drawing app you have to keep the controls out of the way, but the UI is seriously not intuitive or user-friendly. 4. I sent a request for help three or four days ago and never received an answer. Same configuration. Just trash. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2026-03-02* I used this for a mural job I’m doing thinking it would cut my time in half, boy was I wrong. Laggy, keeps saying my latest iPad is using 1.0 instead of 2.0, would disconnect everything 30 to 45 seconds, then took 10-15 minutes even to reconnect. I ended up just using the grid method and doing it myself. This will make your time ten times longer instead of cutting it down. Your better of using a projector or doing the grid/doodle method. No point using this app. Complete garbage and waste of money. I’d give 0 stars if I could. **Developer response:** Hi There, I'm very sorry for your poor experience with the app. The MM 1.0 vs 2.0 error messages as well as the disconnection issues usually happen if you are using devices older than 5 years or the overlay image you are trying to use is a very large file. I'm going to release an update soon to fix the large file connection issue. If you would like, please reach out to info@davincieye.com and I can let you know how to fix these issues if you have devices made in the last 5 years or how to get a refund. I wish I had this 40 years ago! ### 1/5 — Secondary (Drawing) Device Frequently Disconnects *2026-02-01, version 2.0.6* Despite following all directions (including disconnecting from the network but not turning WiFi off—white not blue), my drawing device doesn’t connect to the camera device. I’m promoted to connect, I hit connect, it “thinks” and then tells me I’m disconnected and prompts me to reconnect again—an endless loop! ### 5/5 — Help *2026-01-27* I contacted the company and they responded quickly. There was a connection problem with the iPad and the iPhone. Sam worked with me and they finally connected. He didn’t stop there he continued to inquire how I painted and realized the Mural Maker was not the best fit for me. He recommended Da Vinci Eye which I already had purchased but was having problems taking my drawing and moving it to a large canvas. He showed me how to get to the wide angle lens and size the drawing to the large canvas. He could have sold me on the Mural Maker but he was honest and recommended I stick with Da Vinci Eye and forgo the Mural Maker. Trust me before you get mad and delete the app contact the service center first you will be pleased with their honest help. ### 1/5 — It doesn’t work. *2025-12-22, version 2.0.6* This awfulware doesn’t work. The drawing device thinks it’s the camera device and will not track the drawing correctly. I get a great picture of the back of my head and me holding the tablet. I followed the setup instructions exactly, including the wifi connection. I’ve been ripped off for $40 and it’s not okay.
