I felt the same as I do now. Beautiful graphics, engaging story, but Energy too hard to get, fills too slow, have to pay a lot to be able to play just a little while. And I notice this is almost always the same comment made by other reviewers in their opening sentences. I am 80 and do not see as well as I used to, and you cannot enlarge the screen to see a lot of the really small items in a scene. I’m forced to spend 5 energy just to investigate/find a single item, while energy regenerates incredibly slowly. It constantly interrupts the story and makes the game feel designed around pushing players to buy energy rather than simply enjoy the mystery. I’d happily play for longer if the energy system wasn’t so restrictive. Really disappointing because the actual murder mystery is fun. ### 2/5 — Great game but ridiculously low energy regen *2026-08-17, version 3.0.11* I just came back to this game after a couple of years and remembered why I played it before but then also why I deleted it pretty soon after. The graphics, the story and the gameplay are great but the energy regen is so stupidly low (1 every 5 mins) and even viewing videos gives only a small amount. Needing to spam multiple video ads just to do a single search game makes a great game really painful to play. We’ll see how long I last before deleting again in exasperation. ### 4/5 — No replayability *2026-08-14, version 3.0.11* It’s a good game with an interesting story, but once you’re done, you’re done. The main story cannot be replayed, and it’s obvious that the sequel (which has been “Coming Soon!” for years) will never arrive. I can understand a decision to cease new development - but surely it can’t be hard to provide a way to reset the story. The gameplay is also where the game excels the most alongside the interactive mechanics and choice dialogue. Main complaint though is the energy. I’ve noticed many complaints as well regarding this and I hope the developers make energy fill up faster and not every 5-6 minutes for a single sliver of energy when an action takes up 5. The game becomes unplayable because you wait over two days for a decent fill on energy just for 5 minutes of gameplay then rinse repeat. I understand this is how the company makes their money but it’s genuinely ridiculous. ### 2/5 — It’s OK *2026-08-08, version 3.0.11* Not as much fun as Murder in the Alps. Game/screen does not expand so it’s difficult to see/identify objects. A lot of their games are pay to play just like this one. I was hoping for better. It sucks that I’m invested in the storyline since I won’t be finishing the game. Murder is intentional. It should be called Killer by Choice. Refills slowly. I am not so smart in that I purchased extra energy, because I loved the game so much, and got to end of episode with credits I can’t use!! Also the other game that’s set in Switzerland (?), I may be wrong on that. However, where are the new chapters/episodes? They are truly the best games I’ve ever played.
