Sometimes, Murdoch randomly stop talking and it just wouldn’t let me play. It’s really too bad, it has a lot of potential and I am awaiting a bug-fixing update. Also, I signed up for the mailing list and never even got an update when the game was released, so for more people to play I would recommend sending an email. Tl:dr cool idea but super glitchy ### 2/5 — Not working *2023-04-12, version 1.1.0* I was really looking forward to this however it does not work on my iPad. They need to fix a lot of glitches and I have discovered that if you leave the app without solving the crime, you can’t resume where you left off? Maybe I have that wrong but it has definitely prevented me from continuing to use it. Needs a lot of work - I hope they improve it in future versions. ### 2/5 — Good Idea - Terrible Execution *2022-12-16, version 1.1.0* Setting up the AR screen doesn’t work the way it’s illustrated in the video. Keeps changing to whatever the camera is pointed at, even after the “floor” is selected. Trying to place Murdoch is equally frustrating as all I get are his shoes and they seem to move around on the ever changing floor. It would have been fun if it just played as a regular game without that. Also, AR is a little confusing to start, but fine once you get the hang of it. I understand money needs to be made, but it would be nice if when a mystery is solved the next one is unlocked. There is no volume & nowhere in the game to adjust the settings. Without volume, you can’t play it. I have an iPhone 13. The app said it was compatible with my phone but it’s not. Trying to "report a problem" seemed to lead to logging in with Apple ID, getting a link to dev's website, and getting to see a privacy policy. Waste of time. ### 1/5 — Very disappointing…. *2022-11-11, version 1.1.0* It has some potential but the only way I got the AR to work was to try to somewhat configure it for my room, and then cover my camera so I could block my room out of the action in order to see the details in the game. However, the screen kept panning to the right, requiring me to move my device in the same direction to keep the action in the middle of the screen. Although it eventually stopped, you can’t use that work-around and sit in the chair or position of your choice while playing this game. (At least I got to see some action.) Another annoying feature….the app only runs in portrait mode but many screen elements are cut off by the frame. (You can’t change the settings and you can zoom in/out.) You also can’t turn the music off or turn it down. I have no complaints about this game, but if I had to have one complaint, which is more of a recommendation it would be : sometimes the AR animation skips and occasionally freezes, I think when the next update is released this bug could be fixed so the problem is only minor. I find that the AR elements can get a bit jumpy and feel very far away. It would be ideal if we could tweak the playing plane field dimensions to help with distance (it keeps trying to put a coat rack inside a real world chair.) That actual case was great and I enjoyed the elements of clues and questions. It means plane as in flat surface in this case it shows up as like a yellow puddle almost. Now that I know what it means it’s hilarious to see all the comments of people looking for airplanes.
