## What is MurdSearch?

Every day, a new body. Every day, a new grid.

MurdSearch is a murder mystery hidden inside a word search. Find the clue
words in the grid — but one word on the list is never there. That missing
word is HOW it was done. Then read the letters you never used: they name
WHO did it, and WHERE.

Solve the grid, solve the crime.

No advertising, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no third-party
analytics or tracking SDKs. The app never asks for your camera,
microphone, contacts, photos or location. "Record your solve" builds the
video from the game itself — it never records your screen.

- Today's case refreshes by itself the moment you finish one — no pull to refresh.
- Type sizes and buttons are now consistent across Today, Archive and Settings.
- Sign Out no longer sits next to Delete Account.
- Fixes across the case screen.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-30

Daily reminders. Turn them on in Settings and pick a time; a tap on the
reminder opens the day's case. Days you have already played stay silent.

Entering the answer got shorter. Leftover letters now sit beside the field
they belong to, and tapping the method hint fills that field for you
instead of making you retype what the grid already told you.

Archive cases open on a single tap. There is no longer a confirmation step
between you and the case.

The archive now says how many archive cases you have left, rather than
counting the daily case in the same number. "2 of 2 archive cases left"
means what it says.

Fixes:
- Error messages no longer stay on screen until something else happens.
  They fade, and a tap dismisses them.
- Reaching the daily limit now explains itself properly, with the option
  to sign in for more, instead of showing a bare error.
- A case that failed to open no longer wipes the screen it was opened
  from.
- On iPad in portrait, the layout no longer breaks apart when the
  keyboard appears.
