### 4/5 — Been trying to find a good app to keep an audio journal in….

I’ve always done an audio journal into Apple’s Voice Notes, but it was honestly not a pleasing interface and you can’t lock it. I really like how this app is structured. I gave it 4/5 stars because I feel like it has so much potential! I would love to use this app horizontally because as of now, its only available in vertical mode (I use my iPad like a laptop, for typing). 

Another thing is, I know the app emphasizes how “voices of the day that cannot be left in writing”, however, I would still like the ability to have ‘notes’ integrated in. Mainly because sometimes, I look back in my journals and some could be really emotional. I would like the option to see a note saying that it might retraumatise me if I were to listen to it back if that makes sense LOL. I know there’s the title option, but you can only write so much in the titles. This could also be an option for people who want to add to their recording if they have reached the recording limit or is just simply done talking and would like to just write down whatever. Sometimes a situation might not be ideal to record something and if you’re feeling emotional and might want to write down something at the peak of your emotion, writing it might be the best choice!

 If that gets implemented on, the app would literally be so so perfect!

Nice app, simple and clean UI and easy to use and navigate. Would be improved if included the following things: 

- Add the ability to increase the speed of voice note playback!
- Add the ability to add tags to diary entry such as #school #work #friends  to better organise and categories entries 
- Add a dark mode 
- Add Touch ID 
- Add text to speech feature (if possible)
- Add the ability to have multiple voice entries in one day

This app is lovely but the time limit makes no sense to me. Why can't I save a recording shorter than 10mins? Why can't I make two recordings a day of 5mins each; one for the morning to start my day and the other at night to finish off?

Just downloaded and had my first recording. It’s a good app, nice design, clear functions and also a little statistics.

But if you really insist on the time limitation why don’t you set that as a count down? I think that makes more sense. :))

I have been using the app everyday for over 2 years and it has been really good! Easy to use and reliable. But only very recently since I upgraded my phone , the performance has be very unstable. Sometime it stops recording or the app just froze. I am not sure what happened. Is that because it doesn’t work with iPhone 13?

I like the simplicity of this app but I wish there was a little more customisation? Just like changing the colours of the emotions or having the weeks start on Mondays. Also the memo deleting when you go back on yourself once you’ve pressed stop (rather than pause) is frustrating as it means you can’t add any more. Overall a good app though!!

The App is great by itself! But I could not find how to export my recordings anywhere. I tried looking for it files->on my iphone, but I was't there. I really hope this gets resolved! Or else I fear that I'll loose all my recordings if I accidentally delete the app or if it is one day not supported.

**Developer response:** Hello, I am a developer. Currently, the recordings are only stored on the device, but they have a sync function, so you can save them to the server cloud at any time! And after syncing, if you lose your phone, log back into your account and the recordings will be there! However, it is provided as a paid service, so choose carefully! thank you.

I like this app, it’s useful, and I use it regularly, but the recording time has been reduced from 15 minutes to 10 minutes which is a real shame, and I don’t know why this has happened. I hope they will change it back as that extra 5 minutes was valuable to me when I needed to make longer recordings.

The app is not picking up on my voice. The sound is very static. And it’s annoying to know I’ve spent 15 minutes pouring my heart out only for me to hear nothing being recorded

Okay app but you have to email to reset pin. No automatic system. Lack of personalization, and you can only record one a day. For 15 minutes which for people who have a lot to say isn’t much.

I’m so sad, I was so excited to use this app but then I went to open it, it said I needed a pin to get in, however I had yet to set one. I’ve emailed the company like it said and it’s been over a week without any response. I really want to use this app but I can’t even get in.

Does not record audio while AirPods are connected. Only records if you’re speaking directly into the iPhone’s microphone.

On an iPhone 6 running iOS 13.6 and this thing refuses to work. Crashes on boot. I paid $0.99 for an app that is compatible with my phone yet doesn’t work anyways. Oh well.

I'm having trouble recording sound with this app. I made sure it had permission to the microphone, I also used a couple other apps and they record just fine. I feel like I tried everything, which isn't a lot with apple. if the devs have anything that could help that would be greatly appreciated, or a refund bc I can't use the app :(

Absolutely love this app BEFORE and it was originally FREE w/ up to 10mins recording 5 each for each day and now This Year (2025) had it since 21/22…it’s saying I have to pay and it’s 5mins now? Unacceptable.

So I’ve been trying to use this a couple tries but when I’m recording myself it actually won’t save all of it and till stop at like 2:27 or something like that and then all of the audio after that point gets deleted and it’s kinda frustrating because the reason I keep a diary is so I can look back on problems and reassess them and the fact that I have audio missing makes it so I can’t do that.

### 2/5 — Great Idea but Playback Literally doesn’t work

Would be happy if improvements were made as the idea seems great and I would use the app for sure, but right off the bat I couldn’t listen to my recordings. After clicking them on the calendar, it says it’s playing but no audio is playing. Am on iPhone XR.

Also another suggestion: 
When you start a recording and click the pause button, you cannot continue the recording from there on. Clicking the play again will completely restart the recording and you will lose what you recorded before.

Just some simple suggestion and notes but good concept.

And I can't figure out the problem of not being able to listen to the recorded file, but I will suggest some solutions. 1. Turn up the speaker volume. 2. Please uninstall the app and install it again. 3. In Apple's Files app, go to the murmur folder and check if there is a recording.

Loved the app for a few months, but they just changed the model to free/premium. So now, even though I paid for the app at download, I get ads. Pretty annoying.

Great app. Exactly what I was looking for. I just wish the recording time would be increased to 20 minutes or removed all together.

I have always wanted to journal, but I have a lot of issues when it comes to properly expressing things on paper. So this app has been the best way to journal with recordings before I sleep. 
I also love that I can go back and listen to what I felt on a given day.

I find it hard to open myself up to people and talk about my day and how I feel. I can look back at my bad days and the good days and I just can’t explain how much it helps me with my mental health! This app makes it so much easier. I record myself when i want and when I feel like it and I don’t have to write a diary anymore !

Love this app. I was always into physically journaling but I love being able to just pull out my phone & document verbally how i’m feeling! 
I just wish you could add multiple recordings on one day. Because some times I like to document how i’m feeling in the morning, mid-day, & evening.

i used to love typing but lately it’s hard because i just wanna talk it it’s so much easier to just say what comes to mind right away , cause when i type i second guess myself. it feels like a safe place.

- set a lock on so nobody can see
- record your voice so you can listen back
- put how you are feeling
