### 3/5 — What happened?

*2021-01-22, version 3.8.2*

I’ve had this app for years and love it. I can’t open it anymore. I hit the icon and it blinks on for a second ,then off.

### 3/5 — It could provide more value if....

*2020-12-07, version 3.8.2*

I like the app, but was disappointed in the lack of instructions on its usage. Looking for a new app with more detail.

### 4/5 — Great app for learning muscles, quiz feature suggestions

*2020-09-27, version 3.8.2*

This is a really nice app, and it’s helped my learning in a very efficient way. The quiz feature is decent, but a few changes would make it great and/or fantastic:

We need the ability to rotate the models during the quiz - there are times when it’s too difficult to understand the muscle typography with the one view you are given during the quiz.

We need a “pause after incorrect answers option for quizzes - During the quiz, if you pick the wrong answers (in both multichoice and label mode), you only have a split second to see your mistake and the correction. We need the pause so we can study the error / corrected answers.

Also, FYI - your App support page doesn’t load, otherwise, I’d put my suggestions there.

### 3/5 — Really great App...but

*2018-12-18, version 3.8.2*

Have, sadly, had to update my original review, after using this app for the past 3 years.
Whilst, in all honesty, this app has much to offer, it does not appear that the authors are at all interested in continuing to improve this app; refining it to a higher and more useful level.
There are many muscles that are unnamed, or are named when looking at them in a particular view - the Tricep is one example.
What the authors appear to have done is develop a "Premium" version of their app, and are charging for, what I assume, is an upgraded version of this app.
I have just purchased a new iPad, as I need to update important apps used in my clinic. I want to consolidate my several anatomical apps into one "complete" app.
I cannot recommend, and am reluctant to purchase the 3D4Medical version, as I have no assurance it will ever be updated, but that the authors will, yet again, bring out a bigger and better version of that - and charge me again for the upgrade.
Great way to increase sales, but not so good for the user.
Just my take on things.

### 3/5 — Great App, but lacks functionality

*2018-04-05, version 3.8.2*

As a student currently in anatomy, the level of depth that this app goes into when describing each muscle is nice, as well as being able to rotate the body. The biggest draw back however, is not being able to tap the muscle you're looking at and get information on what the muscle is. I was able to get that from an app that was free vs one that I paid 5$ for.

### 4/5 — Great app

*2018-01-24, version 3.8.2*

I have been using this app for seven years. First as a massage therapy student, then as a massage therapist and now for university anatomy and physiology.

### 4/5 — Essential!

*2017-07-29, version 3.8*

One of the best tools for muscular anatomy out there. As a massage therapist and instructor I highly recommend this app for the student and practitioner alike. One note for improvement though. The app is a little restricted with movement.

### 2/5 — Why change what was great

*2015-10-05, version 3.8*

I really enjoyed this app. However the quizzes are less intuitive and the new sectional zoom doesn't allow you to pan superiorly or inferiorly as you wish, only in predetermined sections. I'm not sure why this was changed, I simply cannot see the benefit. Before this update, quite competently this app could achieve 5 out of 5..

### 4/5 — Fantastic with one suggestion

*2015-08-21, version 3.8*

Loving this app for learning the muscle, origin, insertions, and actions for functional anatomy class. I especially love that I can create our own pins in preparation for practicals in my course. My only suggestion is also a question, it would be awesome if I could quiz on the pins that I create and even quizzes on the different categories I create. This may already be a feature, but I have not been able to figure it out yet.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2015-04-03, version 3.8*

Love this app!

### 5/5 — Most helpful app

*2015-02-15, version 3.8*

I have paid for other apps like this but have never felt the confidence after using them like I do after using this app. My clients find it fascinating when I show them certain muscles with the media and just seeing the 3D portion on the body. I've taken and assisted others on the MBLEX and everyone has attributed this app as being the best at knowing everything needed on each muscle. I find it helpful every time in use it even if it's a muscle I always seem to work on!

### 5/5 — Amazing Study Tool!

*2015-02-09, version 3.8*

This is the most amazing resource for anyone who is studying the muscle structures of the body. I am a visual learner, and this app has proven to be indispensable. Being able to cut away the individual layers of each muscle group is so helpful. I highly recommend this app for any student of muscular anatomy.

### 5/5 — What a gem!

*2015-02-05, version 3.8*

Informative, accurate and easy to use. Worth every penny and deserves all the 5 star reviews. A heads up to one of the reviewers, I had the same problem as you. But I found once I switched to landscape mode, I could complete the quiz.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2022-11-19, version 3.8.3*

Bought the whole bundle hoping to find detailed pictures but the quality is very disappointing. Apps like this should have a trial option so people do not waste their money just to find out it’s not what they are looking for. Can’t find any option for refund either.
I have deleted all 4 apps now and found all I needed in Essential anatomy app from the same maker for same price.

### 1/5 — Where is the update?

*2020-12-15, version 3.8.2*

Media option was my favorite and most useful option and is not available anymore. I paid good money for this application and I’m disappointed.
Please update!!!

### 1/5 — Video do not work

*2020-10-17, version 3.8.2*

I just bought that app on my iPad Air 3. The videos doesn’t work so i can not see the actions of any muscle.

### 1/5 — Used to love this app

*2018-06-08, version 3.8.2*

Used to love this app but now all options are blocked and not even a chance to buy the version of it, I am not interested to have 4 apps in one as they sell...quite dissapointed!!

### 1/5 — Please update

*2017-07-25, version 3.8*

Does not work properly

### 1/5 — Please update app

*2017-03-22, version 3.8*

Very slow

### 1/5 — No updates for > year

*2015-12-15, version 3.8*

This app and its series seems to have been abandoned by 3D4. They seem to be heading towards subscriptions model.

### 1/5 — total garbage

*2015-02-02, version 3.8*

I just wasted 10 dollars on this useless app. When I try to quiz myself, I always get a message WARNING quiz is unavailable in portrait orientation.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2013-09-04, version 3.3*

It's all extremely blurry on a retina display.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2013-01-02, version 3.3*

Used to work fine but since last upgrade it crashes on loading. It is now useless to me. Money wasted

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Invaluable asset for anatomy

*2020-01-16, version 3.8.2*

Have been using this as a secondary resource while pursuing PTA education. Very useful for quick reference (instead of flipping through books to the right chapter/page), and the supplemental media add-ons are helpful to view muscle actions and quickly refresh on origins/insertions. Have recommended to anyone that asks me what I’m using. Well done.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2018-08-15, version 3.8.2*

This is an amazing app, worth every penny!!!

### 5/5 — Update

*2017-09-16, version 3.8*

Greatly helps me with studying Gross Anatomy in my first year of med school. Hoping for its next update soon!

### 5/5 — Amazing app to learn on the skeleton with.

*2016-08-09, version 3.8*

Learn names of bones & their landmarks, and go into descriptions of each. Add your own notes and draw on the skeleton; which I do to show clients various muscle attachments, and include your own pins with relevant notes. Rotate with a swipe or swipe up or down for either inferior or superior view. At this price it can't be beat

### 5/5 — Very Impressve ! Very Satisfying !

*2016-05-14, version 3.8*

I'm a massage therapist in permanent state of learning and this tool is perfect to master the knowledge about muscles. Thank you for your for dedicated work. G. T.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2016-02-12, version 3.8*

I work as a fitness professional and I love to show my clients what muscle or muscle groups we are working on. That way they can have a better understanding of what we are doing. They really enjoy the insights as well.

@juanlugo

### 5/5 — Geek out on anatomy!

*2016-01-10, version 3.8*

I don't buy many apps, but this one is worth every penny. I have all four but the muscle systems is my fav. I'm a Clinical Hanna Somatic Educator, personal trainer and health coach. I use this app with clients and it helps them understand what we are talking about. Some of them love it so much they purchased it too. Awesome! Thanks for creating and sharing it!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-11-26, version 3.8*

I purchased this app a year ago. I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

### 5/5 — Unsurpassed

*2015-10-26, version 3.8*

Super detailed and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Fabulous!

*2015-06-21, version 3.8*

I use this, Skeleton System Pro 3 & Essential Anatomy 5 all the time. Each is useful and the company is doing a pretty good job of fixing their labeling mistakes (which are few). The animations and I/O maps on Muscle System 3 are very useful.
