My only reservation (hence the four stars) is my sense that the app developers are less invested in the community around this app and have moved on to selling classes. Giving 3 stars because this shift to “Museum” is really stupid. The spirit of sktchy is that it’s for practice, you can do sketches and improve your skills. Museums are for fine art pieces and the name alone is intimidating. I want to practice portraiture, not feel like I have to upload art that is perfect. I have no idea who convinced the app creators this was a good idea, but I hope they go back to Sktchy. Sktchy is friendly, Museum is stuffy. Sktchy is the first result on google, Museum isn’t even listed because the name is so common. The website claims it’s a play on “muse” but I definitely didn’t get that. I’m assuming they’re focusing on muses > artists bc they want more people on the app. Very disappointed. Why do all great apps make terrible decisions? Feeling: sad, disappointed. Auto suggest tags - it’s very difficult to find inspiration without tags 4.
