A never ending loop that I have found no solution too. You click the verify email but the app does not see this and does not allow you to open the account and access the headphones options. Disappointing for a premium product ### 3/5 — QA much? *2026-08-11, version 2.13.1* First and foremost, I don’t think anyone actually has tested the signup workflow to make sure it works. Sign up with Gmail vs signing up with email that’s a Gmail adress once one failed was a complete disaster, with the UI being extremely buggy for the signup process. Ultimately it wasn’t possible to register on the app, and after much frustration I tried the website instead. Worked right away. Then I just took those credentials to the app and I was able to login. If I hadn’t tried the website instead of the app I would have given up and returned the headphones. Complete garbage. Now onto why I decided to write a review, after having put all that behind me. I was just on a flight, without over WiFi over the pacific for 10 hours. Of course the app had logged out on its own, and of course you need to be online and login just to control your headphone settings? So stupid. Why do I need an account at all? Why do I need to be online to change a setting on a device already connected over Bluetooth? Dumb dumb dumb ### 3/5 — Don’t bury the useful bits *2026-07-27, version 2.13.1* I use the tone controls quite regularly yet these are at the bottom of the screen along with the ANC selection. Although the ANC can be selected using the button on the headphone, tone cannot. A Home Screen widget with these controls would be ideal rather than having to open the app each time. It provides fabulous sound on both the B&W pi8 IEM and px8 headphone. But… Despite its manual’s protestation otherwise, it only works easily for Bluetooth transmission, at least for me. Making it send its signal out of the device’s USB is fiddly at best, impossible at worst. That cuts you off from some of the most attractive features that make B&W special — the highest-quality BT transmission from the IEM case plugged into the source USB, the direct-wire USB transmission from source. The manual is too brief on these topics. So in short, the plain works fabulously, while fancy is fiddly. ### 3/5 — Needs work *2026-07-07, version 2.13.0* This app deserves a great widget. I downloaded the Bowers and Wilkins app and with voiceover you cannot use the EQ settings. You can set it for the true sound, but that’s all you can do. If you turn VoiceOver off you can move the sliders a bit, but you can’t tell what you’re doing in the app so I am writing that giving the app a two rating until this changes. I have inquired several times as to whether they could change it or Not, and have not received a response back nor has the update reflected a change. in closing I’d like to say two other things I’m sure many visually impaired people would like to use Bowers and Wilkins headphones, but we can’t get the full appreciation of the headphones without the EQ. The second thing I’d like to say Bowers and Wilkins is in a lot of theaters and in a lot of places and I’m sure they’ve taken images Sound images of those places and why we don’t have a hellacious number of presets. But the app ... truly dreadful. Verification doesn't work, the UI is all over the place, there are mysterious delays, buttons need to be pressed twice, information is not intuitively laid out, it's an ergonomics fail. It just looks like you've lost interest in it. This is simply astonishing considering how good the headphones are, and more importantly, how much the whole package costs. Omg Do not buy ### 1/5 — A variety of issues *2026-06-17, version 2.13.0* The app does its job, but I don’t see the point of requiring a B&W account. You should be able to use the app without an account. On another note, B&W needs to do a better job with its headphone firmware. Both B&W headphones I’ve had (including the PX7 S3) have the extremely irritating habit of lowering their noise cancelling automatically when I’m in certain extremely noisy environments, which is exactly the opposite of what I want it to do. At the very least you should be able to turn off this automatic changing in the app, because it works poorly. Secondly, the headphones love to pause when my head moves, regardless of sensitivity. This could easily be fixed by having the pause only activate if the headphone is detected as being off one’s head for a minimum amount of time - there seems to be no minimum right now and that’s just bad programming. ### 1/5 — Did nobody ever test this? *2026-06-17, version 2.13.0* Impossible to sign up. Terrible text input. Stuck in endless loop with email verification not working and my inbox getting spammed with non functional links. Trying to work around and sign up with Google account instead gets you signed up … to then get stuck back in the initial email verification nonsense again. So much for the premium experience. Maybe spend some of the money on a QA intern .. ### 1/5 — Can’t confirm account *2026-06-14, version 2.13.0* I can’t finish creating the account. When I receive the email with the confirmation link and click on it, the application opens to a page where it asks me to verify my email. Forget it. I’m sending headphones back. Audiophile headphones perhaps? That’s the good. Comfortably the least easy to connect to wireless speaker we own - compared to Sonos and Bose. 9 times out of 10 it requires turning off and on again at the wall to wake it into life. Up until now the best I’ve owned were the Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2. I own a Jabra Elite Pro 7 and Klipsch T5 mclaren. I’m using the Pi8 with a iPhone 15 and this is the only earbuds or headphones that I actually can’t handle at MAX volume. The quality and accuracy of the Pi8 are on par with my Klipsch Cornwalls loudspeakers and sound system in one of my vehicles that has focal speakers and PRO 8|30 DSP MOSCONI GLADEN PRO LINE 8 CHANNEL CLASS A/B AMPLIFIER. To achieve this kind of sound quality I usually have to spend a lot more than the price of a pair of Bowers & Wilkins Pi8. “Money Well Spent “ ### 5/5 — Amazing Brand *2026-08-21, version 2.13.1* An app does what it need to do.
