I use it to help my son (6) learn notes for his piano practice. I am continually amazed by how customizable this app is -- I can choose exactly what we want to work on. It also truly helps him learn notes and read music faster. I notice a difference in reading music 'cold' vs after a quick run through on the app. Also it's great that the app never crashes or gets bogged down (on iPod touch). Don't be put off by the cerebral interface. You will be up and running in no time. Extremely versatile and customizable. My nine year old grandson already whips me at Hot Potato and his six year old brother begs to play so we have created a game version with only three notes. It patiently drills me on the basic C position notes which is good because they are picking up this stuff faster than I am.
