Bug/flaw is that there are only 4 choices and a student (my child) can see if each answer is right or wrong by pressing a choice and sliding their finger off the button. Each response button lights up with red (wrong) or green (right) color when pressed but app doesn't register your response if you then slide your finger off the button. Fix this and add more choices than just 4 for more stars in rating. ### 5/5 — Best game EVER!!!!!!!! *2014-01-03, version 2.1* This app dose work worth the $$$$$! I learned so much from this app !i go 2 a local church and every girl my age can play piano.so i gave it a try .and because I got this app and the girls did not even try it or give a chance I am now the 2end best trying and pushing 4 the 1st all because of this app thank you creator u rock ### 3/5 — Discouraging *2013-12-23, version 2.1* The app is ok but it jumps between the treble and bass this interrupts the learning as it is not instinctive as the R hand normally does the treble and the L hand does the bass you do learn but I feel it is taking 3 to 4 times longer than if it separately did the RH and the LH and then mixed it in the very advanced if at all. My vocal teacher recommended I get music flash cards, but I found the next best thing! This app makes learning fun! It’s almost as addicting as any iPhone game out there right now! I hope the app developers read this review and are encouraged to expand the app and add other elements of music such as chord structures. Tremendous job!!! I have my piano students use this and they love it! I love that there is alto clef but I'd love to have tenor clef as well. ### 4/5 — Good for beginners, but... *2013-06-02, version 2.1* Very good app for beginner and intermediate skill training, but in the interval section all the intervals are either melodic or harmonic intervals. Is this American? In Australia we say 'minor 2,3,6 & 7, 'major 2,3,6 & 7', 'perfect 1,4,5 & 8) and augmented 4/diminished 5. Can you please include this form of identification in a future update. ### 3/5 — Like it *2013-04-24* I like that this app has cards for things other than note names. It is an easy app to use. It would be a HUGE improvement, though, if the option was included to identify the beat value of the rhythms, for an example in common time a whole note has four beats. ### 5/5 — Excellent ! *2013-04-11, version 2.0* Uncomplicated and extremely useful. The scoring system and timer make it fun giving my pupils a goal as well as a sense of achievement. I like to pop it into a lesson when possible. ### 4/5 — Nice flashcard app *2013-03-18, version 2.0* Lots of good things, including a variety in the type of flashcards done. I also like that you can "skip" a flashcard because there are some that my students won't know yet. Ideally, the app would allow us to choose which flashcards get tested in "settings". One complaint I have is that a "double bar line" is called an "end line" in the app. Google prefers "double bar line" but also accepts "end bar line". I believe that "double bar line" is most common. ### 3/5 — Nice graphics *2013-03-15, version 2.0* Very easy to use and friendly. A good start for reading theory. Many better products available ### 1/5 — Incorrect notes *2014-02-09* I just purchased this app and it is all wrong in stage 1. It states that A is a G and C is a E note etc. I have not gone any further because if these two are wrong then the app is dysfunctional ! Clearly a VERY POORLY WRITTEN APP! ### 1/5 — Less than stellar, at best! *2013-12-28* Not impressed at all. How about first teaching the notes before you quiz the poor students. Sort of ridiculous. It just quizzes you, so you must have previous knowledge of music notes. I'd give it three or four stars if it were free. If it had some game-play aspect that would make my kids want to play it then I'd give it five and be glad to pay more. As it is, it's just a really simple flash-card app. ### 3/5 — What is a “harmonic fourth”?? *2018-02-11* Fourths and fifths are PERFECT. Was looking for major and minor intervals. Harmonic and melodic are very confusing. **Developer response:** Dear customer, you are correct. The fourths and fifths are perfect. However our application shows the size of intervals and how they are played, either one note after another (melodic interval) or at the same time (harmonic interval). I enjoy resetting the score to see if I can beat my own score every now and then and my boyfriend likes to play with the app too. Very handy to not have to carry flash cards around and to just have this convenient app on the cell phone to practice anytime and anywhere. I like having the app for reference of music theory as I need the practice. My 5 & 7 year old each use this to practice their notes in-between weekly piano lessons. It is simple to get started, and the app has plenty of room to grow well into college music theory!
