### 4/5 — Fun!

*2016-01-09, version 2.0*

My little loves it.

### 4/5 — Love the idea

*2015-09-18, version 2.0*

I let my little brother mess around with this app and now he's saying piano and twiddling his fingers. The app is good for learning the names of instruments and sounds they make. My two complaints are as follows, the app does freeze quite often and I wish there was more color/interactivity for this app, after all it is made for small children. Keep up the good work.

### 4/5 — cute educational app

*2015-09-15, version 2.0*

I have a 3 and 4 yr old, both were entertained. There are world instruments which, although the names may be unfamiliar to most children, they are likely to sound familiar if they have listened to the Putumayo CD series or listen to the world music programs during the weekend on NPR. Now they have a visual, which is nice.

### 4/5 — Interesting

*2015-09-06, version 2.0*

This is an interesting little app it allows young children to actually learn about different instruments. The downside to it is that you have to pay to get more instruments. Most of the instruments that are on the basic screen are not instruments that people typically see day-to-day like an accordion or panflute. You would think they would have instruments that would be seen day-to-day on there instead of rare instruments to see. I showed this to my nephew and he's four years old he was bored with the app within a matter of just a couple minutes and makes me wonder how long A younger child attention span would work with this app.

### 4/5 — Overall a Great app!!

*2015-09-04, version 2.0*

This app is quite amazing! First my reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that once in a while the app did/does freeze! However other then that it is Gerat! The app allows your child/toddler to pick what they want to hear so its sort of like them having their own Ipod.. They get to pick the instument that they want to hear and then they get to listen to amazing tunes! The "songs" are actual real versions. Meaning they are done by professional artists so this also makes it a Great learning adventure! Being able to hear the different sounds of different instruments may also help your child with developing their own skill in a direction of their choosing! Wouldnt it be great if we has this as a child? I'm sure i would have been more curious and chose to learn to play different instruments then just the flute! Again other then the occasional freeze this is a Great app!

### 4/5 — Good learning app!

*2015-09-03, version 2.0*

My 4 year old daughter really liked this app! I could tell she was learning a lot and it kept her fairly entertained.
I think this app is a lot better than the safari flash cards because the sounds go perfectly with the instruments and the pictures don't look goofy.

Plus it's always a bonus when your child is learning and being entertained longer than 2 minutes :-)

### 5/5 — Nice

Amazing app not only for children but for their parents too. They may entertain their kids and learn the basics of musical instruments too.

This app is fantastic for teaching children! Thank you for finally creating an app that allows my kids to have fun and learn at the same time! This is a rare and ingenious app that my kids love to use!

### 5/5 — All my kids love it!

*2015-08-19, version 2.0*

They can't get enough of this app

### 5/5 — Very educational!

*2015-08-15, version 2.0*

First let me say that this app has instruments that I've never heard of (such as the balalaika) and I've been involved in making and directing music for many years. The layout of the app is very simple, which is great for small children. All you do is tap on a brightly illustrated instrument and it says the name and plays what the instrument sounds like. Easy enough for most children to operate themselves!

### 5/5 — Great educational and entertaining app!

*2015-08-10, version 2.0*

As the same app for learning animals, this another great educational and entertaing app at the same time! High-quality visual sounds and great variety of different musical instruments make it another useful app in my collection for my child! Special thanks for multiply languages supporting!

### 4/5 — Good For a Free App

*2015-08-05, version 2.0*

This is a good app for being free to learn about musical instruments. I loved the pictures and how it plays some of the instrument. I just wish it played a few more with the free version even if the paid is only 99 cents.

### 5/5 — Best app for the young musicians

*2015-07-24, version 2.0*

My little cousin loves this and the animal app because of the songs and the unique interaction with it. The cartoon thumbnails are really nice for him to see, and I really think he likes this app just as much as I do. What I would like to see is more songs and a few more languages, as we speak Punjabi and it would help for him to hear some more native songs for himself. Overall really good app

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Please for the love of

*2015-02-27*

I bought the animal version of these Apps. Gave it a great review. Mostly because I thought having extra animals would be worth writing a review. But I really did like it. However, the more I sat there with my son in my lap playing it there is this background music that just plays over and over and over the same tunes. It's torture! I would like to sit there in silence listening to the sounds of the items and the name but not this music. It really is hard for me to enjoy this app with my son even though he likes it. All the different versions of the apps, music, fruits, etc have the same incessant tunes playing. I will be deleting the free app and will not buy anymore until the background music is gone when looking at the pictures. It doesn't add anything. It really is too bad good app otherwise.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2014-03-20, version 1.5*

Almost two year old didn't last more than a minute. Not user friendly. Tiny button at the top to navigate to next instrument. No swipe feature. Not geared towards toddlers at all.

### 2/5 — Eh

*2014-11-12, version 1.5*

It's ok. I paid for the full version and didn't even get all of the wind instruments. Instead of putting things in like the English horn euphonium and trombone, they repeated flute piccolo and whistle. I also wish they wouldn't say the name until prompted. It would give the kids a chance to guess the name.

### 3/5 — It's good for basics

*2015-08-31, version 2.0*

This app has good basic sound samples but needs a little bit more examples and pictures of instruments. Overall it has a good representation of the instruments available.

### 3/5 — Instruments bro

*2015-07-11, version 2.0*

If you want to give your child a head start to enjoying music this app is for you. The app it's kind like flash cards that can tells you what kind of instrument it is and how it sounds like. The controls are easy to use so it's good for children and adults

### 3/5 — Confusing

*2013-07-03, version 1.1*

Ok for the boy, but the double bass plays something on the cello while the pig sounds like a horse. Which is confusing

### 3/5 — Aa

*2013-02-07, version 1.1*

Not bad

### 4/5 — Good for music education

*2022-10-08, version 3.0.0*

Great use of sounds, images and options. Pretty versatile for use

### 4/5 — My kids ❤️️ it

*2016-11-07, version 2.0*

Kids luv it

### 4/5 — Fun App!

*2016-06-16, version 2.0*

My 2 yr. old grandson loves this app. The only thing I wished the app. would actually show them play the instruments, instead of just a picture.
