Musical Practice Timer automatically tracks the time you actually spend playing — not the time your instrument sits silent. Put your phone on the piano, tap Start, and the app listens. When you play, the timer runs. When you stop, it pauses. It's that simple.

Powered by on-device AI

Using Google's YAMNet audio recognition model, the app detects when you're playing your instrument in real time — no internet connection required, and no audio is ever recorded or stored. Only the sound level is analyzed, entirely on your device.
