## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not educational

*2020-04-29, version 2.11*

The app expects you to know things and never teaches you anything. Don't get it if you want to actually learn.

### 4/5 — My preferred ear-training app

*2025-12-28, version 2.19*

I’ve been using this on and off for a few months since my coach recommended it. The customizability of the exercises is great, and really helps focus on specific things you need to practice. That said, the latest version has bugs that prevent you from customizing any practice settings. Hope they fix those soon!

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2018-08-15, version 2.4.2*

I really enjoy this app and even though it threw me into music theory without an introduction, I completely understood it. My only issue really is, when you practice your hearing it only gives you 2 different sounds it's like flipping a coin. Maybe this is just because i chose "Beginner" but I think even a beginner could learn way faster if they are given multiple different examples.

### 5/5 — I love all

*2025-01-17, version 2.17.1*

I love all so much and it free so yes

### 5/5 — Can’t believe this app is free

*2022-06-23, version 2.15.5*

I never write reviews, but I was so surprised that this wasn’t one of those apps that only enabled desirable features if you pay for them. I’ve learned so much and it’s super customizable.

### 5/5 — So good

*2021-03-14, version 2.15.3*

Helped me immediately

### 5/5 — I’m Musicating myself.

*2020-07-21, version 2.13*

Great app thus far. Enjoying it.

### 5/5 — Great App For Melodic Dictation!

*2020-04-03, version 2.10.3*

I think this is a fantastic app for ear training and music theory quizzes. The only con is you can’t share your scores on social media without creating an account first. Another change I would like to see is a timer and counter for the questions given. I love how in ear training there is melodic dictation. More specifically, I like the keyboard given in melodic dictation as well, as it really helps in atonal mode and in any mode really.

### 5/5 — Very Useful

*2020-03-04, version 2.10.2*

Whole lotta features, whole lotta content, so u can focus in on what exactly u need to work on and can work on developing that skill in whatever way is most helpful for u. Killer app

### 5/5 — Great free music learning app

*2018-06-12, version 2.3.3*

I’ve searched through a few apps and this is the best free one I have found.
