If you haven’t upgraded to the new version, don’t. Performance and UI issues up the wazoo. ### 1/5 — Weird issues *2026-03-17, version 4.0.2* Updating from 2 stars to 1 star. Cannot believe I pay $30/month for this app. When I try to search for an artist (that clearly has songs on here) it says “no searches”. HOW is there “no search” when there is an artist by that name. Is this asking for a lot? ### 2/5 — Good but….. *2026-01-22, version 4.0.2* I’ve used music bed for a few years through their website and the selection of music is awesome so when this app was released it seemed a great way to browse music for projects. I find it works well initially but after a few songs I go to select another song, for some reason it just plays the previous song even though the new song is selected - need to work out the bugs guys! Reply to developer - It seems to happen after listening to a few songs, it looks like it’s playing the newly selected song but it’s still playing the previous track. If you go To select another song it’s still plays the first song. ### 1/5 — About to crash out *2025-12-10, version 4.0.1* I’d like to start out by saying that I’ve paid a ton of money over the years to use this website. $100/mo currently, which is a huge increase from just a year ago, to license music that nobody thinks is good enough for the radio, or else you’d hear the songs there and not solely on Musicbed. The app in its current form is even more frustrating than usual. You play a song, and upon pressing play on any song afterward, you keep hearing the first song. No matter what. Right where it left off. This surprisingly only happens on the mobile app which is a headache when trying to find music for projects when you can’t lug your laptop everywhere with you. You must quit the app, then re-open, and find the song again (don’t even get me started on the buffoonery that is the search bar and its functionality, or lack thereof). Adding an AI that does hardly anything useful wasn’t a good enough reason for such substantial price increases, now the app hardly works buddy I’m about done with yall. It’s always glitching on me and why isn’t it easy to add the current song I’m listening to to my projects?? There is no work around. The current song you listen to has no option to add it to your projects unless you go to the song versions and it another one. The app makes it super easy to search by mood or style, and the playlists are spot-on every time. I love being able to audition tracks while I’m editing or on set, it just makes the whole process way smoother. I’ve tried a bunch of other licensing platforms, but nothing comes close to Musicbed’s quality or curation. Every song feels like it was made for real storytellers, not just stock libraries.
