Today I downloaded the app to my IPhone and it fails to connect to my network, though IP address is correct. I am sure I could spend an hour figuring out the problem but have zero desire to do so….note: a quick dive into available documentation did not readily offer a useful solution. I am removing the app and will try again in a few months to see if developers figure out for me **Developer response:** There are multiple reasons why it’s not connecting in your local network. Try this: 1) Go to Settings in app, select Question mark icon on top, select Tutorial option 2) Follow installation and connection steps 3) If it still doesn’t work, follow the Troubleshooting section at the bottom You can contact me via support email as well. ### 4/5 — Not bad at all *2024-11-09* But for playlist folders only one subfolder level is supported. All further subfolder content is dumped into that first level. ### 4/5 — Pratique et propre *2024-05-08* Félicitations pour ce développement, malheureusement la version premium est vraiment un peu trop onéreuse.(achat in app non spécifiés) ### 3/5 — Decent but needs a tweak *2023-02-06* iOS version 2.2.1 when launched displays artist and title of currently playing tune from streaming radio, but when next new tune comes up, the display still shows the artist as it was when it was first launched even though new tune is playing. I know the info is available because if I click the 3 dots next to the artist on main screen the artist updates, just not on main screen. Thanks for writing this. I find it useful and handy especially to control volume using my phone, but if I want to see artist info, I am using an old iPad running MS RDP and connecting via remote session direct to the server. This tweak would be appreciated. I had been wanting exactly something like this, but specifically for Musicbee and most definitely not itunes. Please make it possible to start AutoDJ based on a song choice from the app (for that matter, a right click to “clear playlist and start auto dj based on this song” would also be appreciated in the software). In the App, please make it possible just to browse specific folders within my entire library because my library is too big for the phone to handle or properly peruse. Being able to browse by folder would be even better, as I can never get metadata to clean itself up enough to not be aggravating. Now infested with adverts, and “only” $1.50 a month to remove them, or a one-off payment of $35. For a tiny little helper app? Yeah, dream on. I might pay that for a full games or something significant. This is a handy app, but it’s a $5 app at most. Uninstalled, with regret. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. As a single developer I had a choice either to abandon this app to spend more time on work and feed my family or to continue its development with the support from app users. I choose second option and tried to balance app functionality so that free users have all the basic required features with only a few ad banners. For those who need more functions, there is an option to invest into app development. I regret that this model does not fit into your expectations, but I do not think that 35$ for entire lifetime is a big price. Cant stream to smart speakers. *2024-10-15* I can’t see the point of having a remote that only works on your PC. Most of the time when you’re listening to music on your PC, you’re sitting at your PC. Why would you need a remote for that? What you do need a remote for is to play music on smart speakers, like when you’re outside at your BBQ and you want to steam from your PC and use the remote to control without having to go inside. Bizarre. ### 2/5 — $35??? *2023-03-04* After you install the plug-in, it works But.. a subscription? For a remote? Not even a full standalone app.. or $35 for a lifetime no ads Meanwhile, you can get whole navidrome apps for free… I really like MusicBee but sadly this is the only app around it Just don’t pay for the 35$ ### 2/5 — Good but greedy *2022-09-23* The app works good overall but doesn't follow in the spirit of free or affordable software that the actual MusicBee developer has maintained since the beginning. To me it seems greedy to charge so much off MusicBee success for an app this simple. This app is limited in features, has annoying ads, and options for subscription payments - or a one time $35 fee to remove the ads and unlock viewing and editing metadata (obviously free in MusicBee itself). What a joke with that pricing. A subscription for a simple remote app to play/pause and skip tracks, when the fully featured MusicBee software is completely free. Other apps that have way more features like play:Sub / Navidrome are free or have a small one time fee like $5. Since this is the only iOS app of its kind I still use it with an ad blocker, and appreciate it being available. I would be fine with paying a $5 fee for lifetime usage of a simple app like this just to remove the ads, but that's it. I'm not trying to manage my entire music collection on mobile. Combined with my whole house Sonos system is a dream.
