I don’t understand the point of downloading the app instead of using the website, WHICH ACTUALLY WORKS. My teacher said that Apple products don’t work well with the website and that we needed to download the app. I used the website at first because it was easy to use and it worked perfectly fine, but then I downloaded the app on my phone to see if all the reviews are true. I CAN’T EVEN USE THE APP BECAUSE THE STUPID THING IS STUCK ON THE LOADING SCREEN. When I first downloaded the app I waited patiently for it to load but after a minute or two it just said “Error: The request timed out.” It’s a waste to download the app. Just use the website. TL;DR: App gets stuck on loading screen. After a minute, it times out. Don’t even bother. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2021-02-08, version 1.43* I have this app for my band class at school and it’s terrible. It’s slow and takes forever to turn in assignments. When I try to type nothing shows up and when I copy and paste a url it still says it’s incorrect. I used it for All-Region, and it has crashed consistently upon attempts to record, requiring a relaunch of the app. On one occasion it just froze and deleted my finished recording. In addition, it has major mic problems. I cannot adjust gain with this app even though my mic has a physical gain switch, and it creates random popping noises in addition to cutting off or distorting my sound. I tried my computer, my iPhone 11, two different external mics (AT2100X and a Blue Yeti), and both work fine with other software, but not this app. This app has potential to be great software, website included. It could be a huge advancement for music education, and I appreciate what they’re trying to do. However, in its current state, I cannot recommend this app in any manner for any online music education or recordings at the moment. ### 1/5 — Bad Start *2020-12-07, version 1.42* This app has no indication whatsoever about how to even begin logging in. I got all of my information correct, but I can’t use it for anything if the entire screen has no text box. You know the app is bad if you can’t even get past the login page. ### 1/5 — Won’t let you record *2020-12-06, version 1.42* So I need this app for all region but the recording button won’t even load. How do I record if it doesn’t let me record? I’m gonna try to redownload the app and see if it works because it HAS to work or else I’m screwed. Not only are load times incredibly long, the apps layout is horrid, the recording system is absolute horrific, and the whole app is basically a simplified web browser. This is the absolute worst app for school. I don’t know why the schools are still using it. It’s also so inconsistent because I didn’t have a lot of problems, still bugs but not anything major. When I put the wrong link and it said was “account not found” it didn’t let me refresh or anything. Not optimized for iOS devices. *2020-01-13, version 1.35* This is just a glorified web browser on an “app”. It is not even optimized for iOS devices. The layout and format needs a major overhaul. Text is too small to read and the whole interface is not user-friendly. Opening an app brings up another smaller window with a “tap to close” message on top. I would have preferred it taking the whole display of the iPad. I see a lot of potential for this app and I hope that the developers consider making it suitable for mobile devices. I feel that this app launch was too rushed, therefore the interface feels half-baked. There are many app suites out there (Piano Adventures Coach, for instance) that make use of a similar platform. I suggest for developers to look at these and study it, so that they can apply it to this app. I also haven’t experienced any app crash issues...yet. I hope to change my review to 5 stars, if I see a remarkable improvement of the app. ### 2/5 — Does not seem like an app *2018-09-28, version 1.26* Usually, content that can be accessed through your phone‘s browser is not optimized for a mobile screen. Companies that offer an app realize this and optimize the interface for their product for the smaller screen of a phone when using said app. That is not the case with this one. When I am in this app it feels like I’m in a browser, I have to constantly zoom in on my screen to be able to accurately read and select the items I want, and constantly have to scroll back and forth up and down to find where I need to go. In addition it would be nice if I didn’t have to download separate apps for the different features of music first. There is a lot of potential here, but this is clearly in the early stages of app development.
