Great app, no-frills jukebox based on your own local files, just what a
I was looking for.  
I support the call for a couple of control buttons in parallel to the gesture-based controls, or as an option. Having the full file name, incl. the directory tree, would help me to keep track of what I'm listening at when shuffling hundreds of songs.

As the developer states, this will play from local folders - which is very hard to find. For the fifth star I’d like the ability to create a playlist of files in those folders, without duplicating the files.

I like apps that don't connect me to the internet and don't collect & share my data, so this is perfect.
Can't download on my iphone 6 as I've got an older ios version so would be good if could be made compatible and not just to use with the files app.
Please make a basic todo app.

Had an existing folder of music. With this folder my music is separated into folders. 

At first I renamed the folder to MusicFolder. Refreshed the app. App says “Added 0 songs to library”.

I then removed the files from the MusicFolder then copied an album over to the MusicFolder. Still nothing.

Restarted the app and still nothing.

Great idea if it worked.

Really good simple music player app for those with music organised in folders.
Really needs or is missing the ability for the user to be able to create & save different playlists. I hope the developer could update app with this assp. thanks

So sorry but I cannot get the app to work, I can transfer a music file into the music apps folder via the system file view 

But then open the music folder app voila music folder empty,

Back to system file view shows music is in the folder 

But alas the app cannot see it

I thought this was going to be the solution to my desire to play music using the files and folders method.  But after buying it I found it's the only music player I've ever seen that doesn't have a repeat function.  When it gets to the last track in a folder it just stops dead. I can't play folders on repeat.  I have to take my phone out and tap back to the start of the folder and play again.  It's not ideal when my hands aren't free for the next 10 minutes.  I can't even play a favourite song on repeat.  

That's a really odd thing to leave out of a music player.  I have requested a refund from Apple.  If the devs ever fix it I will buy it again in an instant.    

It's also weird that there is no favourites function and no ability to create playlists.  The "playlist" has its own dedicated tab but it does nothing other than list all the tracks in a folder.  

Thanks for trying anyway.

**Developer response:** Hey. We've just implemented both "Repeat single track" and "Repeat all tracks" in an update, you might want to revisit the app! 😎

This app is (almost) exactly what I was looking for. I just wish it would work with flac and mpeg audio. I also wish there was an option for buttons instead of gestures. But to be fair those limitations are clearly stated.

Really easy to use. It would be nice if the background could be tied to each folder and automatically change when a new folder song was played. I think people would be willing to pay for that too.

I've tried so many music players for iOS. My mp3s are all properly tagged, titled with numbers first, then put into folders for each artist. I've spent a lot of time organizing my music files only to have other music players on iOS shuffle my songs, disrespect my tags, reorganize my mp3s by genre, or copy all my mp3s into one huge disorganized folder.
I am so grateful to find an easy to use music player that simply plays the songs in my music folders in the order expected. It works well and sounds great. Thank you Alexander!

This is a fantastic app. I have searched for this sort of app for ages. I have my own collection of music organised in folder hierarchies. This works well. My app crashes every time ibuse it but its a simple reatart to fix it.

Love this app. I listen to lots of audiobooks which consist of many small audio files separated into subfolders. This app lets me navigate this perfectly. Would love to see some add ons in the future like buttons you normally find in player apps (play, skip 15sec, next, previous).

I generally don’t write a review but I couldn’t resist my temptation to write a review after purchasing this application from Apple Store . I generally have all audio streaming service installed in my account but I was searching something which can give me little freedom to play music simultaneously from my music folders stored in my iPhone after lots of research I found this one and I’m really very happy that it can play mostly all music files in High Resolution format. I really wanna appreciate the developer / developers for creating this wonderful application. Wish you best of luck.

It’s so refreshing to find apps that do simple things - such as playing music - well. Folders are absolutely essential to maintaining any sort of music library, in my view. They’re essential for organising everything, in fact, so why they’ve been abandoned by so many developers is a mystery to me.  I also use this app for audiobooks. I previously used Goodreader, which is a supreme, folder based, general file organiser, but its audio player doesn’t manage gapless playback.

Allows me to add music to a nice and simple folder and then play it all from my phone. No itunes syncing required😌

I do think itd be nice to have a way to sort by newly added music rather then just alphabetically.
