## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Legerement?

*2020-05-20, version 2.2*

Dictionary is incomplete. This term present in every other music dictionary is missing. I wonder how many more terms were left out. I am beginning to really dislike this poorly prepared app. Its not even a beta version.

The developer responded to this critique by pointing out the search function requires the user to input characters with accents. To me this only further demonstrates the poor quality coding in this app. It really should be free. It is useless to me.

### 1/5 — Illogical, unworkable, incomplete

*2019-10-07, version 2.1*

The app opens in the A listings where there are many listings. Enter f in the search field scrolls the a field to A defaut de continuing to type Fermata it continues to bring up unrelated terms and finally no definition for fermata

### 1/5 — Rotation

*2018-07-10*

Is there any way to use the dictionary vertically on the iPads??

### 2/5 — Not great

*2022-07-28*

Lots of definitions but many are useless and redundant i.e. motif defined as “a motif” and a concert is😑
There are better resources online for understanding the concepts, such as the referenced dictionaries that carry the app

### 4/5 — Good definitions, annoying UI

*2024-03-23, version 2.2.1*

It only works in landscape mode. Rotating my iPad back and forth is annoying.

### 4/5 — Pronunciation!!!

*2021-02-24, version 2.2.1*

Great app! I like the clean simple style. It could be better. I like to see how the word is pronounced! Like how am I supposed to know how to pronounce abreißen? I’m not German! A little help would be awesome! Doesn’t even have to be sound. Overall a pretty nice app though. Good job!

### 4/5 — Handy for performers

*2021-02-06*

Very simple to use, and very good if you’re a performer and need to look up terms in a score quickly. But I wonder if the developer couple make the search function two way - ie. also search the English definitions, not just the terms. Eg. search the word ‘fast’ and see different terms that can be used. This would be useful for composers.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2021-02-02, version 2.2.1*

Has literally every musical notation ever, helps 12/10 in band class!!!

### 5/5 — Best dictionary of music

*2018-03-22, version 2.1*

I have no words to described how much I love this app, simply a must have !!!!

### 5/5 — Incredibly useful!

*2014-02-12, version 1.0.3*

Great app! I use it all the time!

## Most praised reviews (1 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very Comprehensive

*2013-08-24, version 1.0.3*

I'm surprised not more reviews have been written on this app. This is exactly what I was looking for. No gimmicks. Just a clean UI. Nice.
