### 5/5 — 🙌🏼

Looooove this app! I use it with a midi keyboard to control VST’s in Ableton for music production and it lets me control dynamic changes for strings and synths smoothly! Just watched a YouTube tutorial to get it all set up in my software within 15 minutes.

### 5/5 — Please UPDATE

### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-06-08*

This is a great app, it would be great if some of the Midi modules were also made into individual AU3 plugins to use in other music apps also.

### 5/5 — Super

### 5/5 — Beautiful app

*2023-06-25*

I am so inspired by this creation. It offers so much fun manipulation of Ableton and it allowed me to build an MPE controller that is super lightweight and customizable. Thank you. If I could suggest anything, I would add a switch module. Simple on/off. One thing that I ran into when mapping multiple parameters with different cc messages using midi learn function in Ableton was that there were too many active messages for Ableton not to think it was all the same message. My work around for this is to disconnect all of my desired messages from their input and connect them separately after using a slider to active the message. If there was a switch there would not need to be the disconnection/reconnection steps in this process. Nor would you have to go back into the editor to make the connections again. I have seen other people with this issue and have told them this solution so I’m sure it would be a huge time saver for a lot of people. This way you could have a value to midi for each available unused cc message and a switch for its input so you can have easy access to turning each connection on and off and using a slider to map the message. If you have any creative workarounds for this at the moment or know how to build an on off switch. Let me know 😎 cheers.

### 5/5 — Very Usefull

*2023-02-26*

Fantastic app for what it does. I would like added features that I wouldn’t mind as a paid add on. For one, a free form chord pad where you could control the chord voicing and then trigger it by a midi note on a external midi controller. Midi learn to add the trigger note. The pad would need to pass all expression from the controller. In my case I use a wind controller.

### 5/5 — This is wild...

*2022-09-13*

I've only just got the app and have been messing with the hand gesture function and all I can say is this thing is wild.

I need to gen up more on the routing of MIDI signals, but when I get the hang of it, I'll route them through AUM and start playing with some of the synths I have.

For me this is a bit of a learning curve, mainly because there are so many options, but when I have the hang of it, I'm sure I will start creating some awesome stuff.

Only thing I would request is that maybe we can have context sensitive menus that pop up when configuring the modules, rather than the whole screen filling up. Additionally, it would be awesome if this was turned into an AUv3 module as well, then it would be child's play to get this thing working inside AUM or Audiobus.

Other than that, if you like experimenting with some far out stuff, or just want something different, this is the one to get.

### 5/5 — New Features Are Awesome!

*2022-05-01*

Adding the watch and camera is making this so valuable that I’m overjoyed. I have yet to test it all out but suffice to say that this is the kind of thing on iOS that makes being a musician in modern times a joy!

### 5/5 — Sowas hatte ich Laaaange gesucht!!

*2021-12-25*

### 5/5 — Almost magic!

*2021-12-14, version 1.22*

Thanks for this amazing tool!
This is a very inspiring app.
New update is fantastic.
Thanks for the superb work!

### 5/5 — Full body tracking!

*2021-05-04*

Wow what a developer, I spoke with him about a few musing and thoughts, and now we have a full body tracker. No external devices needed. All combined in on relatively easy to use interface. Convert body motions to music. You should have AUM and a few instruments loaded for best effect. If you are into combining performance with experimental music then you have found the right app. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — A Good Find

*2021-04-22*

Easy to set up.

All common midi functionality covered of.

Easy to use interface.

### 5/5 — Love this!, but...

*2021-01-12*

Was it just my imagination, or was there a control that split the chords into individual notes on the side? I can’t find it.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback!! Yes, there should be a "Chord Splitter" module. You can find it in the "Effects" list when adding a new control.

### 3/5 — Nécessite TrueDepth

*2020-12-09*

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback (and sorry for my late reply)! Yes, the TrueDepth module needs a TrueDepth camera to work. But there is now a "Hand Tracking" module that should appear on the list if you have iOS 14+ installed. It still needs a fast enough device to process the hand tracking, but you can do similar things with it as with the TrueDepth module.

The included synth is far too simple, I know. I will change that in the future, but you can now host AudioUnits in the app as well, and thereby use other internal synthesizers or samplers.

### 4/5 — Großartig mit noch mehr Potential

*2025-04-27*

*2026-05-17*

Génial ! Bravo au développeur !

### 5/5 — Phew!

*2026-04-02*

I just upgraded to the latest version and am happy that my setup still works the same. I have 3 keyboard rows and buttons along the top. MusiKraken is my favorite and most important app because of how expressive it is. I mostly play SWAM Saxophone and take advantage of: velocity, pressure, vertical and horizontal finger movement and mouth opening and closing to add expression.

Great app!

### 5/5 — Just Genius

*2026-01-25*

World really well. I love this app

### 5/5 — iOS MIDI Playground

*2025-09-11*

Tons of Inputmethods and Routingoptions for MIDI Processing on iOS from a Great developer who is responding to queries! 10/10

### 5/5 — A very unique and useful app

*2025-08-15*

I use it for music to control plug-in instruments on the Mac

### 5/5 — Wow

*2025-08-11, version 2.00*

Amazing app makes a lot of gear out of use, for example leap motion is less accurate than this and less versatile

### 5/5 — Como el logotipo

*2025-07-06, version 2.00*

### 5/5 — BRILLIANT! Credit where it’s due…

*2025-06-30*

This is a very, VERY good application. How the heck had I heard of it before?!

Very easy to set up and to use, load of options available to configure, and provides access to all the needed parameters.

Kudos to the Developer for making this available (honestly, very well done).

I’d encourage the developer to continue to work on this project as more MPE / midi2 instruments appear and, to present this as a professional application for musicians and performers (helpful suggestion - some parts of the the GUI look, hmmm, a little toy-like, and the option to track cats & dogs, whilst fun perhaps, can give the impression this is a toy/gimmick, where as it most certainly can be used for serious application).

Thank you for this wonderful application. I love it.

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — My most valued app

*2025-06-21*

This app has been my primary music app. The X and Y and mouth opening make the iPad a very expressive musical instrument especially when used with SWAM instruments.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2025-05-31*

Very useful for midi musicians. Very logical and flexible implementation. If you just want a keyboard and sliders on your iPad, you can easily do it. If you want to make your whole body into a midi controller, you can do that too - and it turns out that it is not so difficult with this app :-)
