## Newest reviews (10 of 41)

### 1/5 — Optically looks good but app is not member friendly- controlling and privacy concerns. Not again.

*2026-04-10*

Dinners r over priced but low quality service.

Controlling of member led events by overpricing stuff.

### 1/5 — Lack integrity

*2026-03-26*

Paid for membership and events, then got removed without a clear reason and no refund—had to go through my credit card to get my money back. Very disappointing and showed a lack of integrity.

### 1/5 — Concern for wellbeing

*2026-02-03, version 1.3.0*

The app is badly executed and glitchy, there are reports of the founder being able to see who’s matched with eachother there are privacy breaches which is highly unethical.

There’s also evidence that they allow males who have criminal records and have been known to have restraining orders against women and other unsavoury behaviour from the app into events and even when advised not to have continued to allow these people to maintain their membership.

The events are overpriced and lack meaning behind them. They also feel very repetitive within the London space as they keep using the same venues over and over again it feels lazy and disorganised. The calibre of people are very varied in each event. The events feel quite lazy with the seating arrangements and the matching system.

There are tech issues with the app which is disappointingafter paying £150 for a years subscription.

I would advise anybody who wants community and belonging through in real life experience experiences or social media platforms to stay away from this app. There are many ethical places to go to create community where you’re safety is valued.

### 1/5 — Awful operational management

*2025-07-04, version 1.0*

I have asked multiple times for my profile to get deleted and this gets ignored. When they finally deleted my profile, I get an email a few weeks later that they reopened it on my behalf. This is a complete violation of privacy and consumer data protection laws.

### 1/5 — Skip this

*2025-01-30*

Lots of tech glitches. Lack of member options. Went to market with a subpar offering before they were ready. Should not pay for this at this price point for what they offer.

**Developer response:** Hey! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We understand that early-stage platforms come with challenges, which is why our early access membership is set at just $10.99/month. Since December, we’ve fixed tech issues and continue refining the experience. Our membership model is intentional—it ensures a high-quality, engaged community of like-minded individuals. While we know Musly isn’t for everyone, those who see the value in a curated space tend to love it - those who aren't meant for it, weed themselves out. We appreciate your feedback and are always working to make the experience even better!

### 2/5 — An app with great potential

*2024-12-21, version 1.0*

Still in its early days but very excited by what it’s trying to do. The trial left much to be desired, no filtering system and was served guys much younger than me so didn’t actually match with anyone which was a shame. Would love to try it out again, but might wait till it’s grown.

### 4/5 — Refreshing and has potential

*2024-11-11, version 1.0*

My first Muslim dating app, and I appreciate how it’s designed to allow people to be their authentic selves without fear of judgement. The customer service is amazing and they’re constantly looking for feedback to improve.

### 5/5 — Lots of potential

*2024-11-08, version 1.0*

The idea is good and the creators of the app are clearly working very hard to address all the issues that naturally would arise with a brand new social networking/dating app. I think the other reviews are overly harsh and I’m excited to see where it goes, especially the IRL events.

### 5/5 — Quality over quantity

*2024-11-07, version 1.0*

Still in it’s early stages but really love the concept with this app. These guys go against the grain and focus on the quality of their members and not the quantity. Based on my experience, apps oversaturated with singletons are overwhelming and time consuming. If you have a preference to mindlessly swipe profiles all day, then this isn’t the app for you. I also love that each member is fully vetted. Musly is also in the process of starting regular in person invite only events, which I think sets these guys apart from the other competitors in the market. Looking forward to seeing what other ideas they have up their sleeves.

### 5/5 — The founder is a star!

*2024-11-07, version 1.0*

I have been on the app since the very beginning. I am truly impressed by Ifrah, the founder, who has been an absolute star at catering to everyone’s preferences immediately. This can’t be easy as Musly is vastly growing and has members from all around the world.

With the potential that Musly has, I have no doubt that it shall be at the forefront of future global dating and have a groundbreaking impact.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Extracting more value than it creates.

*2026-06-12*

$250 annual fee which doesn’t get you access to any social events! The events are extra (averaging around $60ish). They do have network effects which is their moat (for now, there’s no reason you have to pay for
that.) They do understand that people are starved for community and willing to pay for it - there’s a limit though to the grift level people are willing to tolerate on that end.

### 1/5 — Lack of diversity and a bit of dream selling

*2026-06-02, version 1.3.8*

I wouldn’t recommend signing up. I also shared my feedback a while back and felt they were not committed to driving my usage unless I kept paying. Did a great job selling the dream but the app is miles away.

### 1/5 — Censorship culture

*2026-05-11*

If you enjoy being censored at all times and a fan of 1984, this is a perfect place for you.

### 1/5 — This entire operation is a scam

*2026-05-10*

I think on the surface it looked like a genuine effort to build a community - but it is nothing more that a very poorly mismanaged cash grab. Overpriced events, all of your conversation is policed by the founder who is obsessive and incredibly rude, the app is complete trash it NEVER works properly. Horrific user experience and a complete disregard for the customer once they have secured your membership for a couple of hundred dollars.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2026-05-07*

Western-style dictatorship with Islam written over it. They deleted our city groups and scrubbed all member feedback to hide the backlash. They even have terms banning 'unauthorized' friendships. This isn't a community; it's a surveillance app.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2026-05-07, version 1.3.5*

My experience with the Musly club was a classic bait and switch scenario. Promises of match making in an increasingly difficult dating environment for Muslims, curated events that seek to connect like minded members and a modern approach to bring everything together. Once they got my money, I found a glitchy excuse for an app that no one actually uses, members who possess no concept of social etiquette and events that were in no way value for money or curated. Not to mention that the matchmaking service was silently sunset with very little communication. The organisers are unwilling to actually act on constructive feedback but are very ready and willing to shut it down and censor any discourse that does not align with their preferred narrative for the club. Expect to be kicked out with no notice, cease and desist threats and authoritarian control of how users can actually connect with each other. Musly will pocket your money and not deliver on their promises, join with caution.

### 1/5 — Feels like a scam

*2026-05-07*

Incredibly expensive membership fee, then you have to pay for more event at a premium price also. Not worth dropping $$$ just to find a community.

### 1/5 — DO NOT WASTE UR MONEY

*2026-05-07*

Founders of this app police the community like this is some dictatorship, events are overpriced, app is awful

### 1/5 — Exclusive branding can’t hide a bad product

*2026-05-07*

App simply doesn’t work as intended; hard to find events, non functional notifications, and doesn’t refresh in real time so you can’t actually be messaging back and forth. It’s 2026, these are essential feathers of any app.

Events: Primarily only coffee events where each one is $60. Dinners at only basic Mediterranean restaurants for $90. I’m vegetarian so eating hummus for $90 isn’t the experience I thought I’d be getting.

Musly leadership: When they had WhatsApp groups, they’d kick out people if they said anything about the events. When you’d email them, they wouldn’t respond acknowledging the feedback.

That’s all to say, I’ve met wonderful members when there was community led events, but now through their app those communities don’t exist! Even if they do add them, their app simply can’t handle any volume of users.

### 1/5 — Censorship and Problematic Management

*2026-05-07*

The app itself doesn’t perform well tbh it was vibe coded. Initially the concept was good and the events were curated but it very quickly became a cash grab after members voiced their opinions and gave feedback. They had WhatsApp communities they would police and censor without any regard. Spoke to quite a few people and it left a pretty bad taste for everyone involved or saw what was happening.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-09*

Wonderful community

### 5/5 — great community

*2026-04-22*

I initially came across Musly expecting it to be more dating-focused, but I ended up using it primarily for networking and it’s been surprisingly valuable.

What stood out right away is the quality of people on the platform. It doesn’t feel like random noise or low-effort engagement. Most users seem intentional, whether they’re building something, exploring opportunities, or just open to connecting with like-minded individuals.

I’ve had a few genuinely meaningful conversations that felt closer to LinkedIn meets community, but without the stiffness or performative tone you usually get there. It’s more relaxed, but still purposeful.

The app itself is clean and straightforward. No unnecessary clutter, which makes it easy to actually focus on connecting instead of figuring out features.

If you approach it with a networking mindset instead of just dating, there’s a lot of upside. It feels like an underrated platform for building connections within the Muslim community in a more organic and human way.

Definitely worth trying if you’re looking to expand your circle beyond the usual channels.

### 5/5 — Great !

### 5/5 — Good app

*2026-01-23*

Nice cool features

### 5/5 — Highly recommend Musly

*2025-11-26, version 1.2.5*

Great platform and so much potential to grow further. App updates with new features have been great and it’s much more user friendly. It’s been great to get to speak to and connect with members online as with a busy schedule i can’t always attend events. Also lovely that the community i can network with just isn’t in the city I live in, but worldwide as I’m exploring professional opportunities abroad. The community has been very supportive with mentorship and opportunities, and it has felt very easy to fit in.

### 5/5 — Members Only Club

*2025-10-04*

Such an interesting new concept - I feel like I found my people. So easy to connect and create bonds. I feel seen. Also the meetups are SO FUN!

### 5/5 — Good app

*2025-10-03*

Nice cool features

### 5/5 — Very Thoughtful, Ground-breaking

*2025-02-25*

Designed very well, great curation, extremely thoughtful in how they’re building community…this is rethinking the future of communities and it’s exciting.

### 5/5 — Curated really well

*2025-02-02*

They’ve definitely curated the crowd better than the other apps. A lot of interesting people- and love the dinners they host with members

### 5/5 — Exciting

*2024-11-23*

Just downloaded. I like the user interface. Appreciate how intentional the creators have been with the app.
