### 2/5 — Subscription trap

*2026-08-22, version 3.1.12*

Manage subscription navigation is designed to make things tough. I was trying to navigate past an offer and end up with an unwanted upgrade. When I go to manage subscriptions there is no option to go back. I’ll give them 24 hours to correct or us just cancel all together. Sad. Liked the platform.

### 2/5 — Great lessons videos take forever to load

*2026-07-10, version 3.1.6*

The lessons are really good when they actually load. Most of the time they don’t and it stalls momentum.

### 3/5 — Great course let down by a poor app

*2026-07-06, version 3.1.5*

I find the course material very good over all, however the app itself is very buggy and really lets down the overall experience. For example the video player often jumps a video meaning you have to go back to the home page to do the video it skipped, sometimes the Home Screen doesn’t load at all.

### 4/5 — Muy buena pero la actualizacion la empeoro

*2026-06-17, version 3.1.3*

### 5/5 — Great help learning the drums!

*2026-05-31, version 3.1.1*

Musora is genuinely a great tool. I’m a student with lots of ambitions besides learning how to play music, and this has helped me soooo much. The Musora Drumeo method has made things so much easier when learning how to play the drums, and not nearly as frustrating as other ways of learning. The lessons are quick, so it’s a nice rush dopamine and self accomplishment when you finish one, as well as easy to fit into a tight schedule. Everything is clearly explained, and there are seemingly infinite resources in Musora/Drumeo, like forums to chat with other drummers and ask for tips. I loooove Musora.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2026-05-30, version 3.1.1*

Great app, but the interface could be significantly less confusing.

### 5/5 — Songs songs songs

*2026-05-24, version 3.1.0*

Pianote user over two years ..prepped me to try playing songs, the new focus on playing songs works for me to take my piano where Captain Kirk dares to go? The revised app has songs now and the assignments work most of the time. Thanks for a great service

### 5/5 — Good app

*2026-05-21, version 3.1.0*

This app is great for people trying to learn guitar or even people who already know how to play

### 3/5 — App is Abysmal

*2026-05-16, version 3.0.11*

I’ve been using the app for like 2 years. The newest update is the worst ever. The app is practically unusable now. Lessons are generally fine but the app is a headache EVERY single time I try to use it.

### 5/5 — No refund

*2026-05-15, version 3.0.11*

Moved flat and couldn’t fit my new drumkit in the new place. I forgot about Musora/drumeo and didn’t cancel my account. But I also never got a reminder about a renewal. Sent a mail asking for a refund but didn’t even get a reply. Cool company!!👎

Edit: turns out it is a cool company. Got a reply after some days and a full review. When I have a bigger flat I’ll pick this up again.

### 2/5 — Terrible video scrolling

*2026-04-30, version 3.0.10*

The video slider was bad in the previous version of the app and I hoped that it would be fixed with the update. But no, now it’s even worse. You can’t scroll the video precisely, every time you scroll you end up in a random spot. Just please make it like YouTube. Fix your controls

### 5/5 — Best drum teaching Platform there ist out there

*2026-04-25*

Seriously Self taught a Lot of things here. It’s so good and since the new method dropped my practice has gotten way better.

### 5/5 — .

*2026-04-25, version 3.0.10*

Everything’s well a few tabs are of as a drummer I can tell but overall really good

### 5/5 — Drumeo Rocks!

*2026-04-24, version 3.0.10*

I’ve learned more from Drumeo than I ever could have without it.
Everything from technique
And basic skills to more advanced concepts and a wide variety of styles.
A big part of Drumeo for me is learning about hundreds of amazing drummers from the last hundred years to today, their histories, styles, and then getting to learn from them. It’s incredible. I even tell non-drummers to check it out because it’s so much fun.

### 5/5 — Bass-tastic

*2026-04-22, version 3.0.9*

I took up the bass a couple months ago, started with the method (when I found it 🙃) quite a bit different from the old Musora app but I’m slowly getting used to it. I like the way the new method works though I enjoyed some of the lessons in the method but realise now it would be a bit of a pain to go back and look for them.

And then……….

I found Moa, the lady is a legend. 30 day bass with Moa was so much fun except for the graphic showing you which note to play. I ended up using the further practice section so I could read what was coming next.

30 Day Bass 2 was an improvement with the notation under the video.

And

This week I’ve learned to play Bad Guy by Billie Ailish, I still need to practice to polish my playing.

I look forward to more from Moa and thank you all of the Musora team! Cheers 🍻

### 2/5 — Updates making this worse

*2026-04-04, version 3.0.7*

The latest updates to this app have been horrible. I mainly use the app for my Drumeo subscription. Most of my time is spent in the songs section. This just feels like something that was half baked and then shoved out while they say “we will fix later”. I’m not a fan of having paying customers suffer while you meet some internal company deadline.

1. Songs in my playlist auto play. Why?
2. Previously my playlist was made up of “drumless” versions. Now every song that I select is the original and I have to manually swap over to the drumless version.
3. If I select a song from my playlist, it starts to auto play the original, I then select the drumless version, it’ll then often “jump” to the end of the song (I’m assuming it’s because the previous drumless song I played was at the very end) and then skip forward to the next song instantly.
4. Every time I use the top left back arrow in the playlist, it jumps to the top of the playlist. Why? It means every song change I make I have to scroll down to my previous spot.

I understand change is sometimes necessary and it’s good to refresh features and improve. But this isn’t the first time that this subscription service has rolled out an app update that has removed features and made the overall user experience significantly worse.

This has significantly impacted my enjoyment of the service and I find myself frustrated every time I have the app open. The frustration isn’t coming from change. It’s coming from the stripping away of features and what appears to be a lack of testing or ignoring the obvious usability issues and pushing the update anyway. Either Drumeo / Musora doesn’t understand how their users are interfacing with these apps or they simply don’t care anymore.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Content is good. App is horrible.

*2026-08-07, version 3.1.9*

1.	Drumless songs do not work on macOS, showing the error: “This video cannot be displayed on a site outside of YouTube.”
2.	Metronome sound does not work at all.
3.	Count-in works in 1 out of 10 cases, and it doesn’t even matter since there is no metronome sound.
4.	Export to PDF does not work.
5.	While a song is playing, a semi-transparent box appears at the bottom of the screen, completely blocking all the buttons.
6.	Audio is constantly glitching, even with a good audio interface.
7.	You cannot change the audio output channel.
8.	You can’t even change the song volume inside the app.

And this is after trying it for less than an hour. I bet there are many more bugs that I haven’t spotted yet.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2026-08-04*

Great content but the app is not good. It’s slow and has a lot of bugs.

### 1/5 — Can’t access contents despite paying a subscription

*2026-06-03*

I wasn’t able to access any contents which were advertised despite paying a subscription. I can’t even access my subscription on your platform. Your support never bothered to answer when I asked for help. Do better.

### 1/5 — No video download

*2026-05-05*

I just made an update and it’s hard to find courses now, I think the user experience is horrible. Also it seems like there’s no way to watch videos offline. Since I have no internet at my practice space, this has rendered the app absolutely useless to me. no access to the app and my drum kit at the same time.

Also I wish there was a possibility to turn off auto play.

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you so much for reaching out! I am sorry to hear this has been happening. We would love to connect with you to resolve this! As we don't have your email address, could you please email us at support@musora.com? Thank you so much, and we look forward to finding a solution! Musora Team

### 1/5 — Video unavalaible and still not fixed

*2026-04-03, version 3.0.7*

All of the video was unavalaible, even if you contact the live chat support, they still ignore you

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2026-04-01, version 3.0.7*

I already paid for the monthly subscription but I can not watch any drums videos 😔, please, can somebody help me?

### 1/5 — Good lessons, terrible app

*2026-03-29, version 3.0.7*

This review is about the app and not the lessons themselves. I used drumeo daily and find it very helpful, but the app experience is absolutely unacceptable.

Update: they made the app worse. They addressed most of the issues below, but broke the rest of the user experience. It is now difficult or impossible to find relevant lessons, they made video playback speed less fine tuned (jumps of .5x instead of .25x), practice resources/practice files attached to lessons are… gone? The updated drumeo learning method doesn’t even teach beginners how to hold sticks?
So if you’re trying to learn drums and have no attention span, this update is for you.

Old review:
Videos are constantly missing from recent lessons, it’s a piecemeal of things you’ve watched in the past few days rather than an actual history. Too many things you click on in the app take you to the browser version instead, including songs which are no longer no longer supported in the app (browser only). The app is absolutely frustrating and ruins what is otherwise a good learning experience.

My biggest grievance is when I hit “Continue” to view challenges I was working on yesterday, they are completely absent from my history. I have to go searching for them to continue where I left off. This happens on the 30 day challenge when I’ve already completely numerous days of them. They just vanish from the history.

The app is basically a terrible browser experience, it would almost be better to not have an app.

The songs (when they were available in the app and now still in the browser) have some nice features as far as slowing down, highlighting notes etc, but it doesn’t remember your settings so if you have a preference for how to display, you have to reset it for every single song, every single time.

The lessons themselves are good, and there are lots of them. All that’s missing is a consistent app experience for them.

### 1/5 — Did not get content I paid for

*2026-03-29, version 3.0.7*

I paid for a subscription and I never got access to the content. I reached out to customer service 5 different times, got 1 response, and no resolution. $240 for literally nothing. 10/10 do not recommend.

### 1/5 — App rarely works

*2026-03-22, version 3.0.6*

This was my go to app to learn drums but since they’ve updated, it’s worked 2 times over the last 2 months.

### 1/5 — Free trial with no free trial

*2026-03-14, version 3.0.6*

App doesn’t recognise that I have signed up… so losing my free trial

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Couldn’t do it without you

*2026-08-18, version 3.1.11*

Started on Drums some years ago, and now added Bass. Great App, great community.

### 5/5 — piano lessons

*2026-08-16, version 3.1.11*

I feel so grateful to have accidentally found this app. All of the instructors are amaaaaaazing! Everyone needs a Lisa Witt in their life. Thank you for reminding me to breathe, and reminding me that this is practice. I can’t believe how much I love my piano lessons.

### 5/5 — This is crazy

*2026-08-02, version 3.1.9*

This doesn’t feel like I’m just learning an instrument it feels like I’m being the instrument and I consider adding mayonnaise because it’s an instrument .

### 5/5 — Best drum training ever

*2026-07-06*

With the many training modules and varieties of songs to play along to, Musora has been the best thing that's happened to my self-training confidence on drums!

### 5/5 — Unparalleled online music lessons

*2026-06-26, version 3.1.5*

Unlimited music lessons on 5 different instruments with one membership? 🤯
Perfect!

### 5/5 — Auto renewal without consent (solved)

*2026-06-16, version 3.1.3*

Watch out everybody with your subscriptions, just cancel it after you purchase your annual subscription, otherwise it will be automatically renewed without asking you anything. So it’s better to cancel after you buy it, then next year just buy it again, with no surprises.

I have to say that they were very nice and offered a refund, so kudos to their team, very satisfied. Nevertheless I’d recommend to Musora team to send an email to customers a few days before they make the automatic renewal. Maybe it’s not good for them because some customers may rethink about keeping the subscription, but I think the users enjoying the app will stay.

### 5/5 — Amazing🤘🤘

*2026-06-05, version 3.1.2*

I am a developer who’s also trying to learn to play drums and bass. As a developer I am really happy to have found such a great platform you guys created 🤩
This is my second year using Musora. I can say that I’m way more interested in learning now than before. I think you guys found the perfect “formula” 😉. Thank you 🙏🏻

### 5/5 — Musora is the best

*2026-06-03, version 3.1.2*

I am only 11 years old and I love this app. I’ve been playing drums for two years and this is the best drumming app I have ever used. Anyone who wants to learn to play drums should definitely use this app and will definitely become a better drummer in no time.

### 5/5 — Do yourself a huge favor and check this teaching app out!

*2026-06-01, version 3.1.2*

After many years, I decided to return to playing piano. I researched many piano teaching apps, and for me, Musora really stood out from the crowd.
Musora offers four high quality teaching apps for the price of one, not just piano.
You are led by talented friendly folks who enjoy teaching and want you to succeed.
Do some research and I think you might agree with me. There is a free trial that will give a good overview of what is available in Musora.
