## What is Mustaghfir?

Mustaghfir is a peaceful Islamic companion designed to help you build a consistent daily habit of Istighfar, seeking Allah’s forgiveness through remembrance, reflection, and community encouragement.
Whether you prefer speaking or tapping, Mustaghfir makes it simple to track your daily progress and work toward a goal of 100 Istighfars each day.

Key Features:
- On-Device Voice Counter
Recite Istighfar naturally while Mustaghfir recognizes and counts supported phrases on your device. Voice counting is designed to continue listening until you choose to pause.
- Manual Counter
Use the responsive tap counter whenever you prefer silent or manual Dhikr. Manual counts remain separate from community rankings.
- Daily, Monthly, and All-Time Progress
Review your voice and manual activity across daily, monthly, and all-time periods. Your daily journey resets each day, encouraging a fresh goal of 100 Istighfars.
- Community Leaderboard
Participate in daily, monthly, and all-time community rankings based on eligible on-device voice counts. The app clearly distinguishes community counts from independently verified speech.
- Istighfar Halaqahs
Create or join a private Istighfar group with friends and family. Each Halaqah has a daily goal of 100 voice-counted Istighfars per member. See who has completed the goal and send gentle reminders to encourage one another.
- Home and Daily Journey
Read Sayyid al-Istighfar, explore different forms of Istighfar, and follow your progress through a simple daily journey.
- Qur’anic Verses and Hadith
Reflect on carefully presented Qur’anic verses and authentic Prophetic teachings related to repentance, forgiveness, hope, and remembrance.
- Daily Reminders
Schedule private local notifications to help maintain your Istighfar habit. Reminder settings can be changed or disabled at any time.
- Invitations and Community Impact
Invite others to Mustaghfir and view how your invitation may continue through the people they invite, illustrating the positive reach of encouraging beneficial remembrance.
- Arabic and English
Use Mustaghfir in Arabic or English, with right-to-left and left-to-right interfaces designed for each language.
- Light and Dark Appearance
Choose a calm light theme or an AMOLED-friendly dark theme.

Privacy and Control
Mustaghfir is designed with privacy in mind:
Voice recognition is performed on the device.
Raw voice recordings are not uploaded for community ranking.
Manual counts and reminder settings remain on your device.
Sign-in is optional for personal features.
Apple or Google sign-in is available for community features, Halaqahs, referrals, and cross-device participation.
You can review privacy information and account controls from the Profile section.

Mustaghfir is a habit-building and remembrance companion. It does not guarantee religious merit, forgiveness, wealth, health, or any particular worldly outcome.
