### 2/5 — Works fine I guess, when it actually works

*2025-03-19, version 2.1.0*

It does not appear to hide posts with keywords that are a partial match. Like if I put “carrot” on the mute list, it won’t block “carrots”.

I don’t know why this is still a problem.

### 5/5 — now 72% less depressed!

*2025-02-10*

My favorite desktop extension on iOS! i use this to try my best at ignoring the existential dread of American politics. I’m really just sick of it all. Mutable does a great job with my filters. sometimes it misses a drop down window or something but i can accept this. i appreciate its interface is the same on desktop. Thank you for everything you’ve done to bring us this tool. i really appreciate you.

### 5/5 — Beautiful, effective. I'm free of obnoxious politicians forever

*2025-01-24*

This Safari iOS extension does exactly what I need! Set up a custom "mutelist" of any words (case sensitive or not), and it scans every webpage I open across the internet and blurs out the offending paragraphs with a calming placeholder. 🙂 I haven't tested everywhere, but it works great on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and on major news sites like Yahoo, Google News, NPR, or BBC.

Doesn't blur/hide images, but that's a trickier tech challenge I'm sure. For a free app this is incredible!

### 2/5 — Works fine I guess, when it actually works

*2025-01-04, version 2.0.0*

But I see post with the keywords I’ve blocked slip through all the time. It does not appear to hide posts with keywords that are a partial match. Like if I put “carrot” on the mute list, it won’t block “carrots”.

### 3/5 — Great Concept

*2024-11-06*

Great idea, but I don’t want to hide a whole post because of one word. I was looking for something that could blur out singular curse words, etc. just like a censor

### 3/5 — Works fine I guess, when it actually works

*2024-09-17*

iOS 18 erased my block list.

But I see post with the keywords I’ve blocked slip through all the time. Maybe the latest update will fix this, as it refers to “better parsing for words surrounded by apostrophes”. If so, nice!

Also, it does not appear to hide posts with keywords that are a partial match. Like if I put “carrot” on the mute list, it won’t block “carrots”.

Other than that it is reliable

### 4/5 — when it works it is good

*2024-03-29, version 1.3.2*

But it appears to only mute exact term matches, not just the string of characters (if I want to block "bike" I still see posts containing "bikes" because of the s)

### 5/5 — Works great

*2024-01-12*

Twitter’s built in mute function doesn’t work in lists, and I use my following lists more than my main timeline, so that’s always been a problem for me. I’ve been searching for an app that could replace that function, never having any luck until now, and I’m so glad to have found this one, because it works perfectly! Very easy to set-up and hides all tweets with words I’ve muted, including in my lists- has very quickly made my browsing experience much better.

### 5/5 — A Game-Changing App!

*2023-10-05, version 1.2.2*

Using the internet has become an aggravating experience in recent years. Oftentimes, I’m on a website looking for specific information but find it hard to focus on what I’m reading. How can I, when the sidebar keeps advertising other articles using bold fonts and screaming headlines? These are often inflammatory click-bait titles (I don’t care what Biden and Trump are doing, I don’t even live in the US) that you can’t block using conventional adblockers. Even when I don’t click on certain topics, seeing them reoccur over and over again on different social media sites gives me a headache.

Enter this thoughtfully-designed app! You can add certain words to a “mute” list, which blurs out or omits content that includes those words. Although the app was designed for social media use, I’ve been using it across the web very successfully. It’s not perfect (words may be omitted, but the photo above remains, for example) but the developer has created something truly extraordinary. And did I mention that this app is free? Now I can enjoy reading hobby-related articles and tweets in peace.

### 5/5 — Best app ever!
