## What is Mute?

Mute: Life Clock and Focus is the only iPhone app that pairs a live life clock with a real app-muting focus tool. Most apps do one or the other. This one does both, by design.

THE LIFE CLOCK

Enter your date of birth and watch time come alive. A glowing gold particle hourglass counts your age in years and total days lived, with a live HH:MM:SS ticker running in real time on a calm dusk-dark screen. No abstract countdowns, no alarming predictions. Just honest, quiet time: this is how long you have been here.

The ambient particle effects and warm dusk palette keep the mood contemplative rather than anxious. A gentle prompt to make the present moment count.

MUTE DISTRACTION

The app that pulls you away most is usually the hardest one to resist. Mute lets you choose your own distracting apps using Apple Screen Time, then shields them with a single tap on the Mute Distraction button. One tap to mute. One tap to unmute. No timers, no streaks, no gamification. Just a clean on/off switch you control.

As you use it, Mute accumulates a running total of the time you have recovered, so you can see the minutes and hours build over days.

This is individual self-restriction: you are restricting your own apps, on your own device. It is not parental control and it does not affect anyone else.

MORE FEATURES

- Ambient particles: 5 touch-reactive calm patterns on the main screen

- Calm dusk design: dark, warm, and quiet throughout
- No account required: open the app and it works
- Local-only: core features run entirely on-device, no server, no sync

PRIVACY

Mute collects no data. There is no account, no login, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything the app knows stays on your device. The daily album deep-link opens YouTube Music as a separate app and is not logged or tracked by Mute.
