Tried reaching out to support but got nothing from them. What do I do? This is so screwed up. ### 1/5 — Stopped connecting to my weather station *2025-04-28, version 3.5.4* I purchased the 5-1 AcuRite weather station a few weeks ago. I had no issue connecting it to the app. Last week it stopped connecting to the weather station and I have tried everything to reconnect it and nothing works. I think you need to update your app!!! It looks like it’s been years since the last update. ### 1/5 — Bugs In App *2025-02-23, version 3.5.4* When doing my weather check in, I noticed the temperature is no longer refreshing, and the graph appears reformatted, but not capturing data. Seems as if there were updates on 02/19/25; but no data loaded to display. Confirmed batteries are full, display is receiving and displaying current data. Disconnects occur multiple times in a week each lasting multiple hours. But they really need to improve the scales on the temperature chart. Use whole numbers instead of tenths. The instructions in the website are very generic and not helpful. ### 1/5 — Incredibly hard to connect *2024-12-25, version 3.5.4* Acurite NEEDS serious updates.i have incredibly had a hard time to just connect a dumb device to the internet and app.i was at it to 11:00 am to 3:48pm and still had issues after 3:48pm.And I tried to put the acurite tablet closer to the router but there was nowhere to plug it in.There was only to spots which were 13-18 feet away from the router and had no internet in those spots.Acurite needs to definitely upgrade their antenna to receive internet. ### 1/5 — Infuriating *2024-11-04, version 3.5.4* Tried to install this app. Tried entering the device id number and it will not accept “Q”! OMG! What good is it if I can’t enter the id. ### 3/5 — AcuRite right weather station *2024-09-16, version 3.5.4* Recently the batteries failed and recorded a temperature of -40°F and a rain amount of 1.45 inches, which is totally inaccurate. Is there anyway you could reprogram this app, so that you could clear today’s max and min data. ### 1/5 — Seemingly impossible to connect *2024-08-25, version 3.5.4* Seems impossible to connect. Splash page is a ridiculous and complicated way to connect to wifi! I honestly thought the Atlas weather station would be so much better than this for the huge sum it cost. I have other far cheaper weather stations (different brands) that have been far easier to connect and which do not use a highly complicated splash page. After about 100 tries to connect you may get lucky just once and have it connect for 2 whole minutes before it drops out from the wifi for good. I also see that you do not even have the decency to even respond to your customers reviews which clearly shows how much you value your customers! Also you claim your weather stations can be adjusted for southern hemisphere to lure people there to buy your products only to find out the hard way (after spending a whole lot) that and faulty products do not get replaced unless you live in Canada or US only (a form of bias favouritism) as you do not value global customers at all! The lightning detector is an advantage over all other brands of weather station, but when you cant even get it to connect with wifi permanently this puts it way behind other brands of weather stations. ### 1/5 — Device ID????? *2024-07-19, version 3.5.4* Where is the Device ID??? I have been over this weather station with a magnifying glass. So have my wife and daughter. Why is it hidden and where is it hidden? If I need it to use this app then maybe Acurite needs to put it where it can be found. ### 3/5 — Serviceable but hopefully ongoing improvements *2024-07-18* I just received this unit so my impressions are pretty fresh. I have had other AcuRite stations and sensors for a while. First the WiFi setup was unnecessarily difficult and I ultimately ended up having to use use two different laptops, my iPad and my iPhone before I finally find something that could hold the unit’s fragile signal long enough to set it up. But. . . it’s not going to be transmitting a lot of data so I guess the signal need not be that robust and you only have to set it up once so. . . ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Once setup was complete I was disappointed to see that the app does not offer access to all the information available on the station itself. One of the selling points of WiFi access was the ability to monitor the temperature inside our home when we travel so we know if there are any problems with the heat in winter or A/C in the summer (our dog and cat stay home) but the app does not offer this information. It seems like it should. Otherwise, so far, so good. When I had the Iris I received emails with incorrect information ie. high for the day 184. Seems to be a very common issue that hasn’t been addressed. Received as a gift, would not purchase this product ### 1/5 — Not easily functional *2025-12-01, version 3.5.4* Good luck getting your wifi to connect and stay connected. Not simple or intuitive, guess my router needs to be set to a special setting to support this AcuRite device, even though every other wifi device in my house automatically connects without issue. Buy a different brand. Maybe one day AcuRite will make it easier for a large customer base. For now they’re happy to take your money and leave you disappointed. ### 1/5 — Not Updating *2025-10-22, version 3.5.4* For quite awhile things worked well, but recently the app stopped updating. The last update from my weather station was 12 October 2025 and it is now 21 October 2025. I tried re-installing the app, but no change. I have excellent signal strength between the weather station and the house monitor which is showing accurate data. The only thing not updating is the app. I don’t know what else to check. ### 1/5 — Terrible performance *2025-08-25, version 3.5.4* This app reports wrong information coming from sensor. I deleted the app and reloaded daily. It works briefly then crashes. Flawless and seems to be able to pickup signal for sensors better than displays directly. It always has the right wind! One time it was so windy! AcuRite said 23 mph, peak 30! Right everything!!! ### 5/5 — Has worked well for me *2022-10-30, version 3.5.1* I have two weather stations (Atlas@42ft and Iris@ 10ft) plus temperature sensors in the front door alcove, the attic and a new one to monitor my greenhouse) going through an Access and a backup Access. I have been using the MyAcurite app for several years to monitor while at home and while away. It has been very stable. Tracy if you ever see this, you are the best customer service representative! Not only did you help me,I left feeling like I made a new friend. ### 5/5 — App/System has been working well! *2022-06-09* After initially having issues with maintaining a connection, everything has been working great. Batteries on the sensors died recently and no notification was received. Settings have been set to notify me of a low battery. The information in the app shows that battery is “normal.” This needs to be corrected. ### 5/5 — Simply Superb *2020-10-29* I don’t go out of my way to write reviews unless an app really stands out - one way or the other. This one is well thought out and well executed. I’m now easily able to get precise weather metrics not only at the house I’m at but the one I’m not at. Well done. Update - the negative reviews simply must be a result of user error, as simple as this system is to use. I’ve had it installed for several years at two homes and a boat that cruises on the Great Lakes, and each installation has multiple sensors. The boat installation has to be considered hard on the system. Nonetheless the ONLY problem I’ve had is I had to clear a spider web from the aspirating fan on one of the 5 in 1s. I take note of the reviews of a related software product, Under the WX. This would be of interest only to those with a SERIOUS interest. I have never had a problem with it, and it connects well with my 5-1 weather station. My only wish is that we could have an Apple Watch App to go with it. I really think a lot of Accutite & Apple Watch users would welcome that. ### 5/5 — SUPER AWESOME APP!! *2020-06-06* This app is so freaking cool! I've had it three days so far and I'm being blown away by all of the features!! The other day I figured out that you can tap on a dashboard item (i.e. Wind speed) and it'll open a graph page. That's neat. Just tonight I clicked on lightning after the storm went through. Then I just found out that you can zoom multiple directions. Up can pinch zoom vertically AND horizontally!!
