No, it’s not my phone… as my brother has the same issues on his phone; no, it’s not the network, because I’m on the other side of the country from him. It’s the crappy game. Do better. Very funny story/writing. Another reviewer complained about the talking going on too long…you can just tap through it and it goes quickly. I find it very amusing and definitely part of the charm of the game. I started playing a few weeks ago, and find the story and graphics really cool. The only problem I have, and i don’t know if it’s a catch up mechanic or something, but there is too many side events. I do 1 that’s 24 hours long, as soon as it’s over there is automatically another one. It’s exhausting trying to keep up with both. As someone who like to do everything a game has to offer, the events take me away from the regular side of the game and I haven’t played the regular game as much. I love all the 80’s references and there’s just something about leveling up all the arcade games that I find really satisfying. I’m almost to the last episode, so hopefully there will be more, but there’s always side events that can keep me busy in the meantime. My only complaint is that the game has become more and more glitchy. It started with ad’s not playing or me not receiving the reward after watching, which has *mostly* been fixed. Then there’s been a few times (like right now) where I can’t even get the game to load past the start screen- it just stays at 22%, even after totally closing the game and restarting it and that will last about a day before randomly working again. There’s also a glitch with the shopping bag icon where it sometimes won’t load, so I miss out on a bunch of the pizza pack rewards until it decides to work again. So all in all it’s a fun little clicker game, but hopefully the glitches get resolved because it’s getting kinda frustrating! ### 5/5 — Try this game please *2022-11-18, version 1.39.0* Absolutely love this game, it has all the best features in an ideal game, No random ads, even little mini games are episodes ### 3/5 — I wish there was more QoL *2022-11-03, version 1.37.0* Event rewards do not give what it states in the leaderboard sometimes which is very frustrating This game would be a lot more enjoyable if you could purchase something to remove ads. It is impossible to place well in the events unless you spend money or watch a lot of ads. The amount of currency provided won’t get very far. I am sick and tired of watching ads and would pay to remove them but because that is not an option I will be dropping this game ### 5/5 — Addicting Game & Visually Stunning *2022-07-31, version 1.30.0* I think the artwork in this game is next level genius! Idk if any of you noticed that there are little references to pop culture stuff hidden in the artwork. Got some glitchy error message. Deleted game and reinstalled but still no “jalapeños” Looks like this game is truly at the end of its life cycle if it’s just blatantly ripping people off now. Won’t make the same mistake twice. Deleting it for good and won’t be bothering with anything this developer publishes ever again. ### 1/5 — Rip off *2025-02-18, version 1.41.2* If you make in- game purchases, you will never get them. I’ve spent almost $50 over the last six months on in-game purchase resources and don’t receive any of them. But you get a lot of Retry when collection your rewards for getting resources or double rewards. Some times you have to watch the video 5-7 times to collect rewards and very frustrating. Especially trying to collect half a day of idling reward. You watch the ad and boom! No bonuses or extras…….this is not a one off this happens for hours on end whether I am on wifi or mobile data. It has real Ready Player One vibes. ### 5/5 — Just a Ton of Fun! *2023-12-20* So I know that there’s a lot of arcade games and story games and idle games and clicker games out there but I really love My Arcade Empire. I downloaded it based on Apple’s recommendation when they made it a Game of the Day and I’ve been hooked since. Most of the reviews are spot-on! My Arcade Empire is quirky and funny (how many games are funny???!) It’s almost like playing a sitcom. I love the 1980’s / 1990’s mall arcade theme. The characters and story are well-written. The pacing of the episodes and events is great - there’s always something to do and work towards. I’m always looking forward to the next event. Events are like movies - always have a funny theme with different characters or the characters in different “costumes.” Sort of like how Muppet movies were - like they’re the same characters, but now in this movie they’re in same. That kinda deal. I love how you can play it here and there. Like I check-in throughout the day but it doesn’t require tons of time. Sometimes it almost feels like a hobby? LOL. Whenever it is going to rain or snow on a weekend, I’m like, “YES! Now I can enjoy this new event!” Can’t believe I’m saying all of this about a game. I really want this to be a TV show! Hello, Netflix or AppleTV! ### 5/5 — Like Game *2023-11-01, version 1.41.2* Great game but the ads for Royal Match are very abusive. They lead you to believe you will watch an occasional ad but Royal Match won’t let you click off and it sends you to another advertisement.
