Argus is a real-time AI companion that sees your world through your camera and talks with you naturally no wake words, no typing. Point your phone at anything and just talk. Responses now begin in about a third of the time they used to, so conversations feel natural instead of stilted. • Much faster replies — upgraded to Google's latest real-time conversational model • Smoother speech — long answers play back more evenly, with fewer gaps between phrases • Better local recommendations — Argus reads a restaurant's own site and menu before answering, instead of just naming places • Improved reliability when looking up places nearby • Various bug fixes and stability improvements Trim the bullets if you prefer something shorter — the first line carries the real news, and it's the one you verified yourself ("super fast"). ### 1.3 — 2026-08-28 A big update focused on one thing above all: making Argus pleasant to listen to. SOUND Argus now speaks through your phone's main speaker at full volume, and the hardware volume buttons work during a conversation. We removed audio processing that was flattening the voice and making it sound muffled — replies are noticeably clearer. Echo cancellation has been added, so Argus no longer hears itself coming back through your speaker. CONVERSATIONS THAT FINISH Argus used to cut itself off mid-sentence, sometimes on every single reply. That's fixed. Long answers now play through to the end. A RELIABLE HELLO Argus greets you when a session opens, instead of occasionally starting in silence and leaving you waiting. AN ARGUS THAT KNOWS YOU A new setup screen lets you tell Argus your name, where home is, and the people who matter to you, so it doesn't have to keep asking. In Settings you can now shape how Argus talks to you — warmer or more matter-of-fact, briefer or more detailed, and how readily it speaks up on its own. Argus also remembers what you ask it to: an allergy, a preference, a shopping list. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings. FINDING THINGS NEARBY Ask for a coffee shop, a pharmacy, or an Italian place near you and Argus will find real ones close by. It can also open a restaurant's own page and read the menu before it answers, so "what's good there?" gets you an actual dish instead of a link. SMALLER THINGS On-screen status now reads in plain English rather than internal tool names.
