Birmingham’s mobile 311 App was created to help residents quickly report non-emergency issues such as street maintenance, garbage or recycling problems, street light request, potholes, damaged street signs as well as damaged trees and roads. The app uses GPS to recognize the user’s current location and provides a menu of common-quality-of- life conditions to select from. Users will have the opportunity to upload pictures or videos to accompany requests and use the app to track the status of reports. Residents can also track the status of reports that other community members have submitted and learn when they have been resolved. The MY BHAM 311 app makes reporting local problems in our city more efficient. When I go back to find the status of a request I’ve made months previous, it still has the same notation as it had the day I reported it. A user can’t follow progress (if indeed any progress is being made). The City is very slow to address reported items and does not input any updated information into the system. ### 1/5 — Is this app even working?? *2023-07-21, version 5.13.0* I’ve attempted several times to use this app and from what I can tell it’s pretty useless. I’ve reported several concerns and have heard no kind of response ### 1/5 — Won’t Submit Report as Guest *2023-07-05, version 5.13.0* No, I will not sigh up for YET ANOTHER ACCOUNT to report issues. The app will not let you submit as guest and gives zero clues as to what information is missing (despite all fields being populated). What a waste of our tax dollars. Total joke. ### 2/5 — I’m not sure this actually works *2023-03-27, version 5.9.7* I downloaded the app and went through all the steps to submit a report, but it kept giving me an error message. All the fields were filled in appropriately. I had a clear image.
