I love the other Apps by MH Riley, but this one doesn’t seem to function correctly. When I create a $150 grocery budget, I get some random transaction there and it doesn’t display the correct budget amount. Despite that I haven’t added any transactions or anything else. I deleted all the app data and re-downloaded and the same problem occurs.

This app hasn’t been updated in several years.  

It is hard to find all entries.   They appear to be hidden as they show up in reports but not in the app.  

Confusing to use.

Trying to add money into the budget category but instead it subtracts it. That’s a deal breaker. Should be able to add money back into the category not just take it out. When clicking on the income within the category and putting in the figure it actually takes it out. The expense works like it should but the income has a fault.

So I’ve managed to put in my incomes and expenses with matching icon and titles on the appropriate dates range. However when I put in a budget for items it adjusts to a different amount and messes up my money!
Not sure if this is a bug, a setting or I’m totally doing something wrong, not sure where to get help!(?)
I put in £30.0 fuel budget, press done and on the normal budget screen it adjusts and says I have a budget of 99p and I’ve spent way over it cos I spent £30.08p I went over by 8p but the app only allowed me 99p budget! How can I get it to stay as what I set the budget as, isn’t that the point of this app!

I am loving this app, very user friendly and it does not require any email account, or any verification. Just download the app and start using it. It keeps me  up to date with my expenses.

Spending Tracker apparently is better than this My Budgets, though both the apps are from the same developer. My Budgets needs to includes basic calculator while typing in amount, (which can be done in Spending Tracker.)  Secondly, it needs to update currency symbols. Thirdly, if they merge both apps into one, I think it could be number one app. I still get upgrade to pro menu even though I have paid.

Very clunky and cumbersome to use. Can’t scroll back date by year, need to do it by month. Font is huge! Can’t change it either. Gave up on it.

I don't understand this app. I entered a category 'car payment' and the car payment amount. It required a date so I entered the due date of the car payment. When I saved the entry, the payment amount was less? WTH? Forget it. An envelope system is supposed to be as easy as, well...using envelopes.

It seems like the good folks at the App Store are no longer checking basic functionality, before releasing an app for download. 

This app does not work. When you enter a budget amount, the app changes that number, seemingly at random, to a different number. Then it subtracts all the expenses against that wrong number. As a user there is no way to control what you want your budget amounts to be. 

The focus of this app seems to be giving the user the choice of icons for each line item, and which colour it will show up as on a bar graph. Whoever programmed this has only the sketchiest notion of what the app should do. As such, it completely misses the mark.

Suddenly, not only are there duplicate transactions appearing, there are some duplicate budgets appearing.  I feel as though I've wasted months entering data that I now need to completely redo. This is so frustrating! I have to check each and every transaction that I've entered over the past nine months. I'm afraid to though, feeling that once again I will have wasted my time. I'm less than thrilled with this app and am angry that I paid to upgrade to the pro version.

I believe this went very wrong when I downloaded the full app. It's a mess, with no sense, and I'm tired of deleting and re-entering the info. I need biweekly, with some expenses being weekly, others monthly, etc. I get no sense out of this. Good luck.

Hello, I have 2 questions: 1.  
I am wondering if we can set certain budgets for each category. For example, in my Eating Out category, I added 3 transactions so far. There’s no budget option (I want to make $120 maximum the budget for that category). There only seems to be an overall budget based on my salary I brought in..not so helpful, I can just look at my bank account instead of using this app.

2. I’m curious if we can connect/sync your other app, Spending with this one. I have tons of categories already created in the purchased version of Spending app and want to know if they can be transitioned to this app.

Sure a little old school but works fine and the pro is a one time purchase to repeat payments. Not even the budgets, just the repeat payments. 4$ to make life a little more convenient but doesn’t block essential features is great

Best app for Family Budget and tracking of each category of real time expenses vs budgeted.. Developer to be added more futures like changing font size, fit for iOS x nd higher model. Screen is fully zoomed not fit for higher iOS, more currency symbol, etc. looking forward the updates.

This app seems perfect for me because I can track my spending and sync the info across my Apple devices. Therefore I’ve paid for the premium version which is a steal at only £2.99. Would absolutely love it if I could also install it on my MacBook Air

Was looking for an app that was easy to use to track my day to day spending. Downloaded about five other apps that were way too complicated bit then I found this one. Love it but my wife doesn’t because now we can track and see all transactions 😀
