Noting one correction: ww2 german soldiers who had children they abandoned, did not love the mothers. They coercive graped them using both the war awarded authority and the lies of love. People who love don’t abandon. That aside, I really appreciated the reality shared here. From how sometimes there are no right words or safe places to how poverty increases the harm society does. I appreciate those who shared their stories and those that created this way to educate how easily those who are traumatized allow their pain to be passed down. Heart wrenching to see people who were once considered less than treat children the same way in the name of their own pain. ### 5/5 — Great *2026-03-12, version 2.0.114* Really immersive story. Brought me close to tears at times. ### 5/5 — Very unique game! *2026-01-14, version 2.0.114* This is a pretty unexpected sim. I really love it and the sister game/sequel: New Beginnings. This one, though, really made me cry. The story draws you in and you empathize with the child. It is somewhat frustrating that you don’t have the choice to go a little more “mama/papa bear” with the narrative but the helplessness seems integral to the plot. Both games are good but New Beginnings makes more sense if you play this one first and bring the same child (save file) over to the second. Also, I like that you get an historical insight into the occupation of Norway in WWII. It’s a very simple and quick game as far as play through but you can tell the devs put heart into it. ### 5/5 — Heartbreaking *2026-01-03, version 2.0.114* This game really broke me. Karin is such a little angel, and the ending with Solheim broke my heart. Seeing her shut down and refuse to bathe or eat really hurt me. I felt so maternal towards her the entire time, I was glued to this game for 4 and a half hours straight. Maybe 5 hours at most. I will never get over this game. You did a truly amazing job at capturing how evil people can be.
